We recently visited this new Thai-Japanese restaurant and focused on their Thai offerings—and we were not disappointed! Every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
We started with the Crab Rangoon appetizer, which immediately impressed us with a unique twist: a hint of cranberry blended into the filling. It was a delightful surprise that added a touch of sweetness and made the classic appetizer feel fresh and inventive.
The Thai pancake was another standout—savory, satisfying, and absolutely bursting with flavor.
For mains, we shared the Massaman Curry with beef. The sauce was rich and comforting, and the beef was tender. While I personally prefer regular potatoes over the sweet potatoes used, the dish was still delicious and satisfying.
Another highlight of the meal was the Seafood Drunken Noodles—a bold, spicy, and generous portion filled with fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked seafood.
The service was on the slower side, but considering the restaurant just opened a few days ago, we’re confident this will improve as they get into the flow.
All in all, a great new addition to the local dining scene. The creative flavors and quality ingredients have us looking forward to a return visit—maybe next time we’ll explore the...
Read moreI’ve been to the Newbury St. location and it’s wonderful, but unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the Melrose location. We arrived around 7:15 PM and waited nearly 30 minutes before I had to stand up and ask the server to stop by. She came over, gave us water, and left without taking our order or asking if we needed anything else. I had to get up two more times to remind them we were still waiting. Eventually, they apologized, explaining they were understaffed and promised to hire more staff, even offering us complimentary drinks. However, we were just there to eat.
When our food finally arrived around 8:30 PM, it was good overall, but the vegetables were undercooked. I didn’t want to complain because I didn’t want to wait even longer for a properly cooked dish. The server didn’t check in on us again, and when I went to pay, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the delay. It was clear they only had one server running the entire floor. If they want to provide good service and keep customers coming back, they absolutely need to...
Read moreNice new Thai / Japanese restaurant located right on Main St in Melrose.
Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Space is nicely renovated with some regular tables, high top tables and bar / sushi bar seating.
Prices seemed reasonable.
Free street parking is available which can be hit or miss in Melrose Center, but we had no trouble finding parking.
Our group enjoyed the Thai food, we would definitely return for it. The Thai pancake appetizer was good.
The sushi was average, nothing special about the fish used and while there was at least some attempt to season the rice, I wasn’t a huge fan of how it was seasoned.
We would definitely return to eat the Thai food again since the 3 Thai dishes we tried were all good and reasonably priced. We wouldn’t return for sushi, while it wasn’t terrible, there are just many significantly better sushi restaurants in the...
