New Canton Inn — Restaurant in Melvindale

I placed an order threw door dash and called to make a change because I have done it before... called about 20 times after calling and was told theyvwould call me back and they NEVER called back I called again and again and told them not to deliver until they talked to me and they did anyway and food was delivered while i was calling them again they never answered the phone but 1 time and was told they would call back and never did...also called from my husbands phone and he got the same thing...rude and was told they would call back.. and they would just hang up or not answer the phone....how unprofessional of them and R U D E the food was not the greatest to begin with and then this as well... think of other places to eat before u order from here this is the 3rd time I have had problems with this place so 3rd time was not the charm...I hate places like this..and now upset..disappointed...and not able to eat the food...the web site does not allow you to make a change unless you call them...thumbs down for...

BUGS COOKED IN THE FOOD!!!!!! Food was absolutely disgusting and cooked with a fly in it. When we called to complain and I was gagging soo bad I couldn't speak, my sister spoke to the manager who told her bring the food and prove it. I called back when I caught my breath and the older white lady that works there answered the phone and said "it probably came from your house"!?!? They're a joke NEVER AGAIN will any of us EVER eat from there. Got there and of course the doors were locked because I let her know I was omw! And to the mouthy one on the other end of the phone.....she definitely didn't wanna come outside when she was invited to cone out and tell me how she felt but instead proceeded to ask us "do you know how many people work here" as if it wasn't her that said what she said!? It was most definitely her that answered the 2nd call. The audacity! Instead she was escorted to her...

They only have carry out now, and you cannot go inside to get it. There's a sign on the door that says go to the side window. I thought maybe it was s drive thru but no. It's a weird window set-up (ring a bell sign with 2 things that look like bells so I pushed both) on the back of the building, so someone came to the window and I ordered and then sat in my car for 15 minutes while I waited. The worker who took my order was was leaving and told me my food was ready. Back to ringing both bells, and then they came and asked for my name. Got my food and brought it home. Now after the weird set up, the food (pork egg foo young) was DELICIOUS, and huge portions for the money. I would definitely go back just because the food was so good. And the staff who took my order and got my food couldn't have been more polite and nice. You just have to get past how shady the...
