I'm a truck driver and I been trying different african restaurants around the country. I been trying Okra and fufu, this fufu was awful. Hard on the outside and so so soft inside. I want one Okra soup and two fufu. But, I was charge for two. It was $32. That ok if it was good. The Okra soup was ok. When you try supporting black businesses... I'm ok paying more but please take pride in your food.

The food was delicious! We ordered the chicken (dark meat) with jollof rice and the okra soup with fufu, both dishes were yummy, although sort of pricey at $15 per dish, especially for a soup. The inside of the place needs a lot of work and I'll just leave it at that. It's certainly a to-go spot. I would recommend trying them, as the food was on point!

Okra Soup with white rice and home-made ginger drink to go... I could eat this everyday... Delicious and feels good to the body and soul... Super clean restaurant and quick service... The menu is what the owners have for the day so it's guaranteed fresh...

Food is very good but they’re extremely unprofessional. They say the open at 11 but they don’t. They don’t have the foods ready and you have to wait or come back hours later. This is america and certain standards of costumer service is expected. You can run business like they do back home because it’s not how it works here. The restaurant could be cleaner too. I love the food but horrible costumer service. You gotta understand that not all your costumers are Senegalese and not all speak French. Some of the costumers are American and from other african counties. You gotta be cater to everyone or you miss out on a lotta money. Food is very good, but you need to be more professional. Bad costumer service makes people not want to come back to your establishment. My money...

Amazing food and drinks!! We got some hibiscus tea and a baobab fruit smoothie which were delicious. The lamb thieboudienne was a 10/10 - truly one of the best I’ve tried and I’ve been to a lot of west African places around the country (spouse and I are not African). My husband tried the mafe which is a peanut butter stew with lamb and he loved it.

Overall a 10/10 experience everyone needs to try if they’re visiting Memphis like we were. I don’t know how people aren’t tired of fried chicken and bbq. Try something new for once and make it this place.

All ethnic places with the most authentic foods will look like this so don’t be intimidated by its simple exterior. What matters is how the...

On our way back to Mississippi, my sister and I saw a sign that read African Restaurant. We decided to give it a try. The service was graced with hospitality, that made me want to visit this Memphis restaurant again to try other dishes. My sister and I spent $25 total and it was enough food to feed approximately 4 people. The food was hot and delicious. I felt as if I had hit the jackpot on some good food. Please try the spinach soup, rice, and plantain. They even kept us healthy by providing water with our meal. It was a very...
