Food was great. Pricing wasn't bad at ALL. Portions were excellent. Line server the older gentleman was fantastic friendly and entertaining. The young lady with the bad eye lashes light skinned on the other hand was a different conversation. She was rude and disrespectful NOT ONLY to myself and daughter BUT also to her co workers. She DOESN'T ask she demands and she fusses like she is the ONLY one that knows ANYTHING. She ddnt smile. Even after I told her repeatedly that this was our 1st time coning in she continued with bad attitude. I REALLY wanted to turn away and leave. She was upset that my daughter wanted a meal and 2 extra meats for later. The problem was the older gentleman ddnt know we weren't get meals and we ddnt know to tell him to put on smaller tray. She went crazy about wasting food containers. As a customer and one customer spends almost $30 I would careless about a container and the customer shouldn't have to hear arguing among the staff. BUT she wouldn't STOP she kept going. Finally I said to her that this being our 1st visit and NOT knowing and having to hear this was unsettling to my spirit and she wasn't wearing it well either. She shut up. The 2 cashiers were pleasant and kind. I did tell my cashier about the situation. Idk if it was reported. I let others know how good food was BUT that server definitely DOESN'T need to be on the frontline. Her attitude and eyelashes are horrible. We ate inside dining area is VERY small and congested. ESPECIALLY on a Sunday with so many coming in and out. Need to NOT be in walk way of those leaving out. GREAT food I...
Read moreI tried Marvin’s because I was tired of fast food and wanted something quick and not deep fried. The place was really packed when I went in, but the line moved fast. The staff were friendly also.
You pick one meat (there was baked chicken & everything else was fish or pork) and two sides. There were lots of options—mashed potatoes, corn, broccoli, spaghetti, a cobbler dessert (which I think adds on a dollar), etc. You also get to choose between a roll or cornbread. They wrap the styrofoam plate in plastic wrap (which is nice for transport), write the price on top (~$9-10/plate without extras), and you take it with you to the front counter.
The rest of the place is a regular convenience store, with a few tables to eat on in the corner. It was pretty cramped and the tables were full so we took ours to go. The place was a bit pricey (most products didn’t actually have prices labeled though, which is a pet peeve of mine) but the food was good. It was a nice change from burgers/fries, and we were in and out quick despite the busyness. Lots of truckers were going through, and the location makes it a good place to stop if you’re traveling in or...
