Memphis Made Brewing Company — Restaurant in Memphis

When my wife and I were here in April the waitress was very nice and attentive, the food and drinks were really good. No complaints. My experience today - by myself - night and day.

I walked up to an empty space at the bar, and it was filthy. The bartender (an older, white gentleman) asked how he could help me, I kindly asked if he had something to wipe the counter. He literally took some napkins and wet them with water to wipe the counter - I was appalled and should've walked away then! I asked for a Perfect Patron, but he didn't know how to make it. So, I asked him to give me a minute and I'd think of something else I'd like to drink. He chuckled and walked away. I sat there for 10 minutes, he never came back to me. I watched as he helped other customers, cleaned up, etc. I looked at the food menu because I was also hungry. Another 10 minutes went by; he helped some other people, cleaned some more, even went to the bathroom - never even looked in my direction. After that, I just grabbed my bags, got up and left. So, rude and disrespectful! I hate to play the "race card", but I was the only brown-skinned person at the bar. I fly in and out of this airport very often and we ALWAYS eat here, but I'm sure there's better places in the airport to eat. Please believe we'll be seeking them out next...

I will start with the positive because there is only one... The bartender was very polite and kind.

I generally don't leave poor reviews but felt it was my civic duty to warn others, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

1.The entire staff was visibly overwhelmed despite a modest crowd.

You could easily hear the staff complaining about working there, I could even one staff member planning resignation.

We nade a simple request to change the TV so we could watch the basketball game, clearly too much to ask.

Our order took far too long to come out, 2 burgers and an order of fries, 25 min at least.

Finally...THE FOOD. Not only did they incorrectly take our order (both ordered no queso or cheese on the burger, both came drenched), but the quality was horrendous. All the items were luke warm. The fries were flaccid and unseasoned. The burger pattie wasn't cooked to our order of medium, it was so well done it actually dried my mouth upon chewing. The "brioche" bun was not flavorful, soft, or buttery. The pulled pork had the consistency of shoe strings.

Stay away from this establishment at all costs, go and spend $20 on candy and chips, you will ultimately be...

The service is undeniably the worst I have ever experienced in or out of an airport. I was excited to try a local beer. I sat at a table and when the server finally came by I asked for a menu, she pointed and said scan it, you can order or I can do it. It took a good minute for the menu to load then I had to toggle through several pages just to get to the beer list. The server came back and I ordered a beer and asked for the table to get wiped as it was extremely sticky, she responded 'doesn't matter if I wipe it, it will still stay sticky'. She then asked if I wanted to move because she can't put my order in, I said yes I would like to move and she said 'there's no tables' at the time a gentleman got up from the bar and I said I will move to the bar, she kinda waved her hand. I then sat at the bar and watched her serve 3 other tables, she didn't attempt to tell me I need to order from the bartender and the bartender never acknowledged me or attempted to serve me, after 5 minutes of just watching, I finally got up and left. Really too bad because if we would have liked the beer we would have probably looked for while visiting Memphis...
