Some fellas and I went here after church and I've got to say this place is one of the best places I've eaten at. I ordered the Lamb Fahsa and it was absolutely fire. When you order the food you get hot tea, a soup, and or a salad to start. The tea was amazing, but that lamb broth soup was something different, i could drink IT like tea, it was delicious. When that stew came out sizzling I knew I was in for a treat, they brought the tandoori bread out a little bit later and it was so warm and fragrant, it was nice and soft but it also had a good crispness to it on the outside, and the fahsa was beautiful. It was spicy, rich and tender lamb that melted in your mouth, the bread had its own unique flavor from the tandoor which really complimented the spice in the dish itself and i probably looked like an animal ripping into the stuff. After I slammed back the stew and bread I ordered a kunafa, and i was not disappointed, absolutely amazing. I also tried a little of my friend's chicken agdah and it was also delicious, and the baklava was the best out of any ive had before, the pistachios give it a nice flavor and that honey was out of this world. Service was great too, and the atmosphere was wonderful, it looks nice and clean in there, calm, chill, quiet, good place to sit down while the rain was pouring outside. For my first time eating Yemeni food I gotta say I'm thoroughly impressed. Amazing experience overall, its not far from the international market so if you're in that area and want a bite to eat, you'll have a good time eating here. Pics added, the fahsa picture was from a video i took of the sizzle action.

This is definitely 10000% better than the other location. We got the large messa combo and the special combo for 2. The food lasted us 2 days... The food was 1000/10, service was impeccable, the atmosphere was superb with many options to choose from, whether you want indoors in several different areas or one of their two outdoor seating areas. We stopped going to the summer location because they care more about family and friends and i totally get it. Im from jordan and its a cultural thing so im not hating, my white boyfriend on the other hand was not having it after we gave 2 more chances to get it together. This location though... OMG!!! They dont skimp because of crowds, they give you things you dont ask for because they want you to expand your pallet and try different things, they were SUPER nice and the food was FRESH!!!!! I saw many comments about service and all i have to say about that is, "was the food plentiful and delicious?" Cus thats all that matters at the end of the day. It aint McDonalds, its not fast, arabic food takes time, love, and care to create properly. It Takes Time For Authentic Arabic Food!!!!! And if there is a crowd, yes, expect an hour wait for your food! Thats why they had a bar, a juice bar, drinks all around... Wait and be patient! The food is SOOOOO WORTH IT!!!!

I’ve gone to the Summer location for awhile now but this one is just as good and easier to get to. Plus, they have some bonuses, like the awesome juice bar and ice cream area. You can’t go wrong with the large sampler platter (in pictures below; featuring hummus, grape leaves, falafels, and baba ghanoush), lentil soup, or any of the shawarma. If you skip over this place, you’re only cheating yourself out of great food. I will say that I’ve read the reviews for wait staff issues. However, I’ve never witnessed the wait staff be inattentive at lunch or dinner when I’ve been there or yell at each other. We have been going regularly at least once a week for several months now. I’m assuming the issues were taken care of since it appears adjustments have been made. The only time service was “slow” was when they were packed with several large tables and not many wait staff. I saw the wait staff literally running and or walking fast to make sure all their tables were well taken care of. Not to mention, the staff is super awesome, friendly, and love giving suggestions. I highly recommend this spot! Ask for Muna!

(Germantown and Cordova Rd location) Ordered many items and most were good but vegetable soup had a hair in it and it didn't look like a hair from your head. This is the reason for 1 star. Prior to seeing the hair, I ate several spoonfuls and it was very oily and not much veggies. Mostly just liquid. The other items we got: samosas, veggie platter, chicken shawarma were all pretty good but not great. The good was overshadowed by the hair incident that happened at the beginning. The waiter said sorry but then came back with another cup of soup. I refused it. A cook or owner never came out and apologized. It felt like a "my bad" vibe and now let's go on like nothing happened.

Servers were friendly and very attentive but didn't seem like experienced wait staff. For eg

  1. She would not clear away the empty plates and platters unless you asked. And then she would only take enough for one trip and not come back and get the rest unless you asked again.
  2. She told me to serve myself this Yemeni tea they have in canteen far away from our seat but I was inside a booth with someone on the outside so that would be very inconvenient to keep getting up for these very small styrofoam cups they had for us to use. She did end up bringing it to me 2x but it was like I'm doing you a favor. Not rudely at all but it was like this is how we do things there.
  3. She never explained we are supposed to get and pay the check ourselves from the reception desk/register. We had to figure it out.

Overall, the ambiance felt like a medium-clean lunch room rather than a really nice restaurant. For example, the napkin holder was in a tray that has a compartment for condiments like bottles of hot sauce or whatever. The compartments were all empty and there were lots of crumbs in there. So it seems like they are just not wiping things down regularly and diligently. The bathroom was the same - not dirty or very clean, somewhere in the middle but no paper towels. This place needs more attention on cleanliness (hair in food is not ok) and training staff a bit more. I will say there seemed to be a slight language barrier with our server so that caused some confusion with our communication. However I think she did the best she could and...

Restaurant Review: Queen Of Sheba

I recently dined at Queen Of Sheba, and it was an extraordinary experience that left me thoroughly impressed. The highlight of our visit was the impeccable service provided by our waiter, Omar. His warm and attentive demeanor made us feel welcome and well cared for throughout the entire meal.

The food at Queen Of Sheba is simply divine. We started with the lamb shawarma, which was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and authentic, making every bite a delight. We also tried the whole grilled chicken, which was juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. It’s clear that the chefs at Queen Of Sheba take great pride in their craft, as each dish was a testament to their skill and passion for cooking.

Another standout feature of Queen Of Sheba is their juice bar. They offer a variety of fresh juices, each one more delicious than the last. I particularly enjoyed the tropical blend, which was a refreshing mix of exotic fruits. The juices are made to order and you can really taste the freshness in every sip.

Moreover, the restaurant was impeccably clean, which added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. The attention to detail in maintaining a spotless environment was much appreciated and contributed to a comfortable dining experience.

I highly recommend Queen Of Sheba for anyone seeking a remarkable dining experience. With exceptional service from waitstaff like Omar, delicious dishes like the lamb shawarma and whole grilled chicken, and a fantastic juice bar, this restaurant is a true gem. You won’t be...
