1 star- don’t eat here! Food was not good and extremely overpriced!!! Chicken was bland, ice cream was melted and runny, no refills, and they help themselves to a 18 percent tip even if you get a buffet and water and don’t actually get any service. Also, they know very little English. I asked for the tip they helped themselves to to be taken off as I got the buffet and had water with no refills and I paid at the front, so did not need or receive any service from a waitress. The manager was extremely rude and argued with me saying that we needed to pay the waitress to clear the table off. A tip is supposed to be for good service and it’s up to the diner how much they want to leave. The business owner should be paying their own employees a living wage. That’s not my responsibility. They charge $12.50 plus tax each for a weekday lunch buffet, so they can certainly afford to pay their employees to clean off the table. I have no issues with leaving a generous tip for good service at a sit-down restaurant and I normally leave a tip even when the service was less than great because I know waitress don’t make much. However, that’s my choice to do so. This was a buffet, not a sit-down restaurant. I served myself. There were two people on my ticket and neither of us got service because we got a buffet and drank water. For me, it was the principal of the matter. It’s greedy when they help themselves to a tip, because they are too cheap to pay their employees and try to push it off on the customers. If you want your employees to be tipped, then have a sit down restaurant, not s buffet and make sure your employees know English and actually bring refills. I got water but I noticed people I passed on way to buffet had empty cups every time I passed. I highly recommend you eat somewhere else- bad food, overpriced, greedy, and extremely rude manager and employees. Will definitely be letting others know to avoid this place!!! I've occasionally gone to this restaurant for several years now, and the quality of the food has usually been decent.

Unfortunately, I don't think "decent" really cuts it anymore, with the rising prices (currently a little more than $17 per person after taxes), and less than tasteful service.

After my last visit, after a very mediocre meal, consisting mainly of a luke-warm heat lamp sustained selection, I pay my cheque and the waitress gives me the receipt. Little did I know, after I thought she had left to tend to other things, she was just standing behind me waiting for me to fill in the tip portion of my receipt. After filling out the tip portion and setting it aside, I notice she is just standing there staring at it, and eventually she mutters something rude to me with a grimace on her face. Not exactly a great interaction to top off a less than satisfying meal. Restaurant goers should be prepared for their tips to be harshly critiqued by their server before they leave, I suppose. Very classy. Bear in mind, this tip expectation (for a buffet, which isn't even full service) is in addition to the now exorbitant prices.

Furthermore, it seems more than just a little tacky that there are now posters on the front door of the restaurant with pictures of dine-and-dashers and requirements to show your receipt to restaurant staff before leaving the restaurant. There's also a security guard posted by the entrance/exit to the restaurant, it really adds to the distasteful vibe they are seemingly going for lately.

I recently had the displeasure of dining at the restaurant , where I encountered one of the most unpleasant servers I've ever had the misfortune of encountering. Despite tipping generously, the server's behavior was nothing short of abhorrent.

From the moment I walked in, it was evident that the server's demeanor was sour and unwelcoming. She greeted me with a disdainful look and barely acknowledged my presence. Throughout the meal, her attitude remained consistently rude and disrespectful.

What was even more appalling was the server's blatant racism. She made derogatory remarks towards customers of certain ethnic backgrounds, displaying a shocking lack of professionalism and basic decency. It was deeply disturbing to witness such bigotry in a supposed place of hospitality.

Despite her despicable behavior, I chose to tip her out of courtesy. However, it's clear that no amount of gratuity could compensate for the sheer unpleasantness of the dining experience. The server's mean-spirited attitude and racist remarks tainted what could have otherwise been an enjoyable meal.
