City Church — Attraction in Memphis

Our family has been attending Cathedral of Praise for many years. Long enough that we have now welcomed a new pastor, Dr. Chris Foster and his beautiful family. I can’t say enough good things about Pastor Chris! He is bringing us the word of God in amazing ways and our church is growing in the Word, in the Spirit, and even in a group of God chasers! We have a very diverse group of wonderful, happy, friendly people who I am proud to be a part of. We have an awesome music department who starts us off every service with exciting and moving music and then Pastor Chris literally keeps us on the edge of our seats preaching the word of God! I hope you will join us this coming Sunday. You will not be disappointed, I promise you. Due to the pandemic we are wearing our masks into the building, but we take them off as soon as we are seated and we are social distancing. Don’t let that give you the idea that we don’t worship! At first I was scared because I got so much love right away and I had only visited once. It freaked my out because I was raised in church all my life and never experienced love like this. The youth pastor was on his way to visit my son in the ER for asthma attack and my own family or churches Id been with for 8yrs hadnt shown concern like that. Then when I didnt return his phone call or answer my door cookies were left with a note. Now cookies to a broken single mom 5 month pregnant, mom fighting cancer and a whole lot of other stuff. I left the church I stopped attending because I felt they turned their back on me when legal trouble came my way. This church truley has the Heart of God from the Pastor throughout the members. I cant wait to go back this holiday and have my baby dedicated there.❤ Because of THIS church Ik what TRUE love is and if I dont feel THIS at school, daycare or anywhere I do business, especially relationships. Cathedral of Praise is a gem in the heart of Cordova. It is a place where you can experience God, encounter the Holy Spirit, and get connected with extended family. That is what drew us to this Church...the unity and support of extended family. We have been a part of this ministry since 2005. We love the worship and anointed truth of the Word by Dr. Chris Foster. Cathedral is a Church that is multiracial, multigenerational, and is a vital part of the community and city in which we live. When you come to visit, it's like being home. They have seen us through the best of times..as well as some very dark times. Yet, they have stood with us as family does and helped us navigate the waters.
