Waffle Mania winchester — Restaurant in Memphis

1st and Absolutely last time I'll be here! My boyfriend and I are major foodies and we support black owned business but this monstrosity right here never again. After years of thinking chicken and waffles was a disgusting combo he finally convinces me to try it. Strike one was their Rachet rude cashier (who was on her phone the whole time) had to repeat the order 3 times! We both ordered tenders and waffles, and I ordered a side of fried okra! Strike 2 we waited an extra 5 min( of our food getting cold) because she was calling out ticket 69 and our ticket was 59! Strike 3 get home the food was bland and not flavorful at all! Chicken tenders tasted like it was a frozen Tyson nugget and the waffle was dry! My last final annoyance I paid $2 for a side of okra and it was only 6 PIECES IN THE CONTAINER!!!!!! 2 of which was just batter ... and wait for it ... IT WAS HARD AND COLD! Once we purchased our combos, they tell us that their drink machines running flat and only had koolaid which taste like straight sugar water with flavor. When a business have people that dont tell you upfront what's going on until you've already purchased automatically gives me a ill feel. Me and my husband currently waiting on our food....I will give a review later about their food.

UPDATE: The food came out tasting REALLY good! I went again about a week later...Did a call in. They told me my food will be ready in 10 min...I get there bout 20 min later then waited about another 20 min before I got my food. I had to share with the owner, I believe the man at the cashier, about my wait and the cook told me next time to just let her know to put my food on next time I call and apologize about the communication issue. I had the Southern Fire Whole Wings Chicken and Waffle Combo (ZBO) — absolutely the best in Memphis! The chicken was hot, crispy, and fresh, and the waffle was cooked perfectly. The flavor and crunch were unbeatable, and the seasoning was on point with every bite.

I did a call-in order, and the cashier was super friendly. She told me it would be ready in 10 minutes, and she was right — I was in and out in 10 minutes, and my food was still piping hot and delicious. The prices are affordable, the portions are generous, and the quality is consistent every time.
