American Deli — Restaurant in Memphis

I don’t trust the food here. There are many reasons. The management has the most grotesque attitude, extremely unprofessional & unwelcoming. I will no longer eat at this location. Anytime he has to come out and fix a mistake made by his employees who can’t understand English, just key menu words, he responds as if it’s a life or death situation. He’s too high strung & uptight. He seems to hate it there or maybe just certain customers. The language barrier is a major part of the problem most times but I’m sure that the mistakes get blamed on any customer who cannot speak Spanish. Recently, I was charged for a combo when I specifically asked for wings only(half-half), he had to correct the problem, per usual he comes to the front frustrated & immediately goes to the back frustrated and comes back. The two times he has done this, my wings had an odor and were far too overcooked & extra dry. Like chewing straight bones. Wings shouldn’t smell like sewage. Basically Inedible. Never again. I gave the wings to a stray dog. I wouldn’t even recommend that...

Do not visit here. The service is absolutely terrible and the food is subpar. I ordered through the drive thru. When I told the guy on the speaker that I had to separate orders, he replied “Ai, ai, ai..”.

Um, excuse me…? That was beyond tacky. Even if you feel that way (which literally, no one cares, just do your job) at least have a smidge of common sense to not express that in front of customers. If you value your money and halfway decent service, please do not do any type of business with this place. I ordered the number 8 bone in wings. They gave me the boneless wings. They refused to fix this issue . Not only did they refuse to fix my order but the manager was really rude and his behavior was disgusting. He stated “man why do yall act like this man”? I kindly asked for a refund instead of the food because of his historical behavior. He then began talking in a different language to his employees.
