Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Menifee

We decided to do a last minute family pizza outing on Saturday- 10/19/24 at around 5:30pm. We remember having Mountain Mike’s pizza for our little ones 3rd birthday a year ago and decided it would be good to try again, plus we had a coupon from one of the booklets sent to our house.

When we arrived we were greeted by Matthew & Moises! Honestly, all the people working that night were outstanding and each team member deserves this shoutout, but the main two we noticed were Matthew & Moises. While Moises helped us with the coupon Matthew was making my little one feel comfortable! She was nervous about the scary Halloween decor on the kitchen door and Matthew comforted her mentioning that the guy pictured on the door was their friend in the back kitchen who helps with the pizzas…she started laughing & became more comfortable after that!

They all just gave us top vip service, even when we were not expecting it! Our garlic bread took a bit longer than our pizzas, so they gave us extra one on the house and apologized (thank you, Moises). We didn’t even notice the wait because the pizzas came out FAST and were delicious! But, that extra touch made us feel noticed when looking back on our time there.

When we were done and ready for boxes, my husband asked & Matthew offered to box it up for us. That took my husband by surprise! 😅 My husband politely declined, but made sure I mention that in my review (& he’s not the one to compliment unless someone really does go out of their way).

Then, we didn’t have cash on us for the games, but they gave our girls $4 from their tip jar and in return we paid them double when buying another beer!

I am just blown away by the service they all have here, I asked my husband if it was just us, but Matthew was like that with every single person who walked through the door and when he had a moment to lean, he was cleaning, bussing tables, cleaning up messes and going back to help any others who walked in. Every person who walked out of there left with a smile on their face and I think it was the genuine connection these team members had with them!

My husband and I both worked at Shakey’s Pizza for quite a while and we thought we KNEW pizza and we KNEW pizza service, but Matthew, Moises & that Saturday night crew humbled us. It made us hopeful for our future and who is entering the workforce behind us! Thanks again guys for the wonderful time and outstanding service! 👏👏

I enjoy Mountain Mike's pizza and this past Friday was my first time to this location as well as trying their lunch buffet. I was not impressed on how they did the buffet. It took forever for them to put any pizza out, and when they did, it was only 2 at a time and if there was any left of those 2 they wouldn't put any more out. Sorry, if it's not one I like, I'm not going to eat it. Not to mention, each pizza is medium sized and half one thing and half another and the slices are cut so small. It's almost like they're playing a game at going so slow with what they put out in hopes that you only eat a little and have to leave. For what it costs, I want to get my money's worth, and after that experience, I don't see the value when I have to spend hours there just to get a decent amount of pizza. I might have been better off ordering a large pizza and just sat and ate it, even though it would cost more. The salad bar was nothing to brag about. There was a lot more room to have more choices, but there was very little to choose from. All the tv's blaring different content was very annoying and loud. Then trying to find a seat that the air conditioning wasn't blasting on was a struggle. There were quite a few people in there and another guy agreed with me on the experience. Went in today at 1106 for the buffet..... let's just say it's not a buffet or it doesnt start at 11 like they advertise..... for starters the only thing besides the salad bar out at that time was some cheesticks. The pizza that did come out after 1110 was a Half Hawaiian and half veggie. Then the next pizza that came out was half of some meat pizza with jalapenos and half a veggie at around 1130. Ummm what about just a plain cheese or plain pepperoni pizza. Once those pizzas were gone we waited until after 12 and still only one other pizza a half pepperoni with half veggie again finally came out and with how many people were there we had no other pizzas to eat. All that was left up there were the halves of veggies. They were not putting anymore in the oven and there were no other pizzas to choose from. We left shortly after having a disappointing lunch and definitely not a buffet. It was literally a fight to see who could get up there fast enough to choose from the half of the pizza that had some sort of toppings other than just veggies and for those of us that like our basic pizzas we had to pull toppings off just to get anywhere close to that in order to...
