The Bagel Shoppe & Cafe — Restaurant in Menominee

No star review: While on our way traveling to Green Bay today, my husband and I stopped by this cafe-that in the past, we had always been satisfied. I ordered two 16 oz caramel macchiato, paid $14. So to begin with the price for the coffees were astonishing, way over priced. My macchiato was way too sweet, did not taste good at all. My husband’s drink was the opposite- not sweet and watered down. Both of us were unsatisfied, had the price of the coffees only been $3-4 dollars per drink, I think I would have left it alone and know not to order that drink again from this cafe shop but since I paid $14, I wanted a refund or store credit. I called the shop and spoke with the person who I believe may have made the drinks. She said that she could credit me two of the same drink the next time I ordered. I was satisfied. However I received a call back from another person that is in charge of the cafe shop and told me that it didn’t make sense- my explanation and that she would only credit me one drink. Went today and the prices were outrageous! For the price I spent I would have expected so much more. As we were eating too we had a very unpleasant experience. One worker walked over and opened a drawer. Said they had to make sure to check this drawer because she found garbage in it last night. As they were walking away I heard TWO of them talking about how much they hated people. Right in front of me and my family who just paid very close to $30 bucks for a few bagels with cream cheese and a frozen lemonade that was TINY and cost $5.00. Hated it. I got a frappe and a salad, I was hoping for a bagel since they are known in the area to have THE best bagels but they were out pretty much so decided a yummy leafy salad would be great too. Croutons were great the lettuce was meh at best but the toppings really made up for it. Till I found the "butt" of the lettuce on my plate! Ew ew ew! The frappe was like watery milk with caramel drizzled on the sides of the cup. So nothing to write home about there!
