The Annex at Foxtown & Elevens Lounge — Restaurant in Mequon

My husband and I recently had dinner at Renard’s and found the experience to be a bit of a mixed bag. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a refined yet comfortable ambiance that made for an enjoyable setting. The service was equally impressive. Our server, Katelyn, was friendly, attentive, and contributed positively to the overall experience.

Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the same standard. While the presentation was appealing, each dish that we tried (2 appetizers + 2 main dishes) was surprisingly bland and lacked the depth of flavor expected considering the creative menu descriptions and higher than average price points.

Renard’s has a lot going for it in terms of customer service and atmosphere, but there is definite room for improvement in the kitchen. With more attention to flavor, it could be a much more memorable...

We had dinner at Renard's on Saturday for the first time. It was my mother-in-law's 91st birthday. Our service by Katelyn and other staff was exceptional. Katelyn was attentive, personable and made excellent recommendations.

We started with the Antipasti board - perfect for four people. I had the crab linguini with shrimp, my wife had the mushroom ravioli, my mother-in-law had the baked chicken and my brother-in-law had the sausage and olive pizza. Everything was excellent. For dessert, we shared lavender creme brule and maple bread pudding.

Renard's is the rare white tablecloth, foodie place that, although busy, is not too loud to have a conversation.

So my travels led me to Mequon Wisconsin for the Foxtown Annex marketplace event. There were around 10 vendors here merchandise ranged from children clothing to crystals. My goal was to support entrepreneurs and community. Unfortunately the 1st 4 vendors didn't greet me as I viewed there tables. Disappointed I found myself waltzing over to the next table where I met 2 very kind young lady's from Milwaukee selling crystals, and an assortment of beautiful jewelry. I purchased 3 items.
