Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Merced

Generally, I like to give good reviews and I love Popeyes but the Popeyes in Turlock across the street from where I live on Golden State is absolutely horrifying every single time I’ve tried to eat there five times. The chicken is so hard that it’s like a bouncy ball you get from the $.25 machine in the store. Employees are very rude, they’re very slow every time I go there they’re out of something this last time they were out of chicken now how are you going to be a chicken restaurant that your whole basis of your restaurant is off of chicken but you’re out of chicken that doesn’t make any sense to me that’s going to the store to buy shoes and go to Payless and they ran out of shoes Make it make sense this Popeye has been there for over two years and they are still doing horrible. I thought at first it was just because they are new. They can’t keep the same employee for more than a month. I know four people that I’ve worked there last time I went there to eat they were out of chicken and then I found a fingernail in my macaroni and cheese. When I tried to call to tell the person about it that answered the phone that worked there they left at me and hung up. I don’t know if it was a manager or regular employee but yeah, they laughed at me. I will never go there and eat...

We dont go out much to eat but decided to give this new place in town a try. Very dissapointed with this restaurant. I asked for a family meal to go and the mash and cole slaw containers where half empty! The only thing i enjoyed was the biscuit and could not tell much about slaw or potatoes as my portion was only 1 tablespoonful. Chicken is just as the competitive restaurant just 1 block away except spicy (we asked for spicy chicken) and the same meal is a lot less. I am sorry but I Will not recommend this place Update 3/10/2018! After fighting not to go back to this place due to our last experience ... the family insisted to give it another try. Better deals and the containers were full (i finally was able to enjoy a good potion of my cole slaw and it was very good) They had a deal going on and it was actually more food than the first time we tried it which we paid double the price. The place was clean. They seem to run out of itemes the 2 times i was there but this time i asked them to just complete my order with whatever they had that was same value so i did not have to wait. I am thrilled to say "Go ahead and give it a try" Check out the family deal for $20 it is a great value... hope this review and...

So I was traveling through an stoped at this location was in the drive thur line today. Cashier asked did I want any sause. I said yes ketchup and honey please. Got the food , pulled up in the parking lot there was no ketchup or honey in the bag, no biggie. So I preceded to walk inside to ask for some. The male employee at the front counter, was helping the one an only customer in the store which was fine. He then turns his back an does not acknowlege me at all. Its about 5 min when I finally said excuse me. An explained the situation. He processed to hand me the items. Which should have been the end of discussion. But instead he desides to expain me that the other laby was there before me an he was preparing her order. As if I was bling an know she was there before me. I said yes i know that an whos taking orders. He then says hes doing both. In turn I said that it would be appropriate to let the customer know that youll be with them in a few minutes not just ignore the customer. So either they need more staff or better customer service...
