I have gone to Paul’s Place for over 5 years. It has turned into Yosemite Station since then. Within 5 years, I have never had a bad experience with an employee. Until today. The cook did not thoroughly cook my family’s food. I asked the server to send it back. Our table could hear the arguing between them, and the cook was very rude to the server. He swore that we were wrong, but he would recook the chicken “to our standard”. The last time that I checked, standard chicken is thoroughly cooked. It isn’t pink and it isn’t mushy. YouTube has videos on how to cook chicken if the cook needs that for help. I could’ve gone back there and done it myself if it really bothered him that much. I do not pay good money for chicken that could poison my family. Multiple other tables sent back their food as well, and the cook still didn’t get the hint. Maybe, just maybe he’s the problem. To management, maybe you guys should grow a back bone and stand up for your servers more. They work harder than most of the people there, and they are the face of the company. When cooks who don’t know how to make a simple meat such as chicken argue with the servers and talk to them with disrespect, maybe you should have the courage to take disciplinary action towards that cook? What are you scared of? I most likely won’t be coming back here anytime soon. It’s really sad that management has resorted to hiring rude people that can’t cook chicken. I wouldn’t have left this review if the cook just did his job without unnecessary attitude, like he should have in the first place. If I send my food back, there’s a reason. Look inwards into yourself to figure out that reason if it’s not obvious through pink,...

I genuinely hate trying new places to eat 😅 so take this review with a grain of salt. I either really love a place or hate it- somehow this fell right in the middle which is rare.
Upon first entry it was hot- it was cooler than outside but it still wasn’t comfortable, and it was only 9am.
Also the tables are covered in ads- like I get it it helps get local businesses get customers but it’s just unnerving to have random people smiling up at you while you eat LOL.
Our servers were nice and answered any questions I had about items
My husband got the chicken fried steak and hash browns- I tried a bite and it kind of just tasted like a giant chicken nugget covered in white gravy. But it wasn’t horrible
I got the Country Benedict. Biscuit was really good, not like a normal biscuit, and I think they may grill them too before serving. The sausage was just a bland frozen sausage the egg was fine.
My main problem lies with the gravy. It’s just so bland and flavorless- I get that it’s just white gravy but add some smoked paprika or garlic powder or something lol. Even adding salt just made it salty and bland 🥲
Also I think they butter their toast and biscuits with margarine not butter- so if that flavor profile matters to you be advised lol.
But I didn’t hate it- I’d go again and try something else. Just wasn’t...
Read moreKeep in mind this rating is when they were on G street, we have not been back since they moved, hoping they are a whole lot better, but that mealoaf in the blender makes me say, "nah."
We used to go to Paul's regularly for breakfast after a late class at the college. The service was good when our standard server was on, food was okay, reasonably priced and hot. Then, they served me a meatloaf that had been made in the blender and would not take it off my bill. We have not been back since. But, then it was sold, rumors abound, disgruntled and/or fired employees, and the word was out, ever so quickly, the service was absolutely horrid. Yesterday, they shorted a take out and refused to be civil about it, insisting the correction would take 20 minutes leaving the correct food to cool completely. The best part? The manager kept using the word, "Bro." Hoping the owners of Paul's will hear of this and instruct their employee that that is NOT the way to treat a customer unless you have a special prison relationship with this "Bro."...
