Em-Tea — Restaurant in Merced

So I came here as my first time and was greeted by the nice people working here and I ordered a Taro Slush with tapioca pearls and it was a large. Let me tell you that I was surprised by how HUGE the cup was and it had a lot of girth like I mean A LOT. Taro boba flavor is my favorite and a lot of Boba Tea shops don't make them good but this place did. It tastes exactly the way I like taro. The slush was insanely consistent and barely melted. I was amazed and couldn't stop sipping. The tapioca pearls were nice and squishy not that poor cheap ones that are mushy and stale. They are soaking in some nice syrup. Loved the way it came out. Will be coming here every week from now. Finally found my to go Boba place. Not sure about the other flavors for I have only tried Taro flavor and that's it 😅. So hopefully they make your favorite flavors...

Pretty good, relatively consistent with the flavors of teas (especially sweetness level wise). Do recommend getting light sweetness if you're just trying out the teas at this location. This is way better than Quickly's, real teas, real flavors, people are nice, and the sizes of teas are pretty good for the prices. Only complaint is that if you order a large tea (their biggest size and is the one that you will most likely pick), the price is under $5 with tax included. They have this thing where if your order is under $5 in total, you get charged an extra 50 cents when paying via card, so pay in cash. Good thing is they have a punch card and so after every 8 drinks, your 9th drink will be free (provided you have the punch card). You can play games like Jenga here too. Bathrooms are clean and a good number of tables for the overall size...

I’ve been coming to this location since it opened. The drinks and service have only gotten better. They have added much more to the menu as well.

I enjoy their Slushes and Iced Milk Teas, specially the premium ones. My favorite toppings are the regular boba, strawberry jelly, lychee jelly and egg pudding. This time I ordered a large mango slush with regular boba and strawberry jelly, and it was delicious as usual.

I also recommend their premium Big Red Robe iced tea with “milk”, boba and strawberry jelly. Or their premium Fruity Rose iced tea with boba and lychee jelly.

From what I’ve experienced, usual wait time is about 5 minutes or less on a normal day (unless you order a premium drink), and about 10 minutes on a busy day. A delicious treat...
