This place wins you over with its merits. The 90s time capsule bedroom was a pleasure with DuckTales VHS tapes and functional devices such as a VCR, NES, and SNES; but it also could have been better executed with posters on the walls and toys on the shelves. There’s a green-screen experience which is truly a lot of fun, filled with old and smelly costume components. There’s a doctors office attraction with real x-rays donated from nearby hospitals and medical offices. The ancient Flight Simulator game is quite addictive. The kids seem to have a great time and get a kick out of most of the attractions. Kids Discovery Station has something for a myriad of ages and interests.
I was forced to find a last minute indoor venue due to an inopportune rain storm that just so happened to hit on the day of my twin daughter’s 3rd birthday. We were originally planning to use a nearby park. KDS offers 2 tiers for birthday parties: for 200 dollars you get access to a relatively small private room that THEY SAY sits 20 guests, excluding the birthday kid and their family, and sure they squeeze some tables and a lot of chairs into that little room, but realistically it sits about 10-15. For 400 dollars, you get access to the arts and crafts room as well, which is very slightly larger than the birthday room. Fortunately for me, the rain storm caused several people to call out from the party and we didn’t need both rooms, although I paid for both. This place is not worth these prices. The arts and crafts room for instance is a dump. Yes, this place entertains children and children are messy, but staff resources only put effort toward putting things away, no effort toward deep cleaning the facility. In fact, the floors are extremely dirty in every room besides the party room.
They are nice enough to decorate for you if you’d like, but food and drinks are still your responsibility. The 400 dollars you pay only reserves the private space and craft room for 2 hours. I have learned my lesson not to drop money on a place sight-unseen. Still, the place would be nice for a visit, just not a...
Read moreLast Sunday I took my 3 boys (ages 5, 3, 1) here for the first time after noticing they are apart of Museums For All program. The minute the boys opened the door and saw the sand playset they were in heaven. They just couldn't stop smiling and laughing. The went to every single station and immersed themselves in imagination play and it was so rewarding as a mom to watch them. The business also had another company there doing some activities for the kids and gave us parents some amazing pictures in frames (I'll add photos to show) of our kids and what they picked they wanted to be when they grow up it was so heartwarming to watch. So all in all this place deserves more than 5 stars because they are giving our children happiness and growing their imagination while also giving them some education. I will absolutely be coming back probably more often than not lol. Since we got...
Read moreThis place was horrible. Most of the things were out of service when I went there. I got charged seven dollars for each kid even though one of them was only one year old and the other one was autistic. I do not know if they have daycamp in there or something similar, but there were some kids there that took over some of the toys and would not share with my kids. I will not be going back to this place. It is ridiculous much they charged for a one year old baby even though I carried him all the time and he never played with any toys. my autistic child was by my side at all times and never touched a single toy, but still...
