Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Mercer

I called in an order off their website for 1 order of beef with broccoli with an extra pint of white rice and an add-on quart of lo mein. According to their site the total should've been around 13-14 dollars including tax. It was a pick-up order. They did not give me a total on the first phone call and said they would call back with the order total. 15 minutes later they called back, but this time it was a very angry gentleman who told me it was going to be 24 dollars and change. Then when I questioned the total, and the accuracy of my order, he told me repeatedly and very angrily that I was wrong. As it turns out, they had taken my order wrong. When I pointed this out he screamed at me and said they would not start my order. Start my order?? I had been told to pick it up in 25 min, but was only just then having a conversation about my total after 15 minutes? A very, very poor experience, coming from someone who has 15 years experience in the food service industry, and management experience as well. The Best Asian Food i have ever had, ever since i have eaten there i have had a personal standard on Chinese food, they're food is so fresh and so many flavors. i go there atleast twice a month and they treat there customers with so much respect that i love visiting there every time. the service is amazing and the food is soooooo good. i send about 50 dollars every time i go because its to die for. i recently moved from mercer to hermitage and still travel the distance to get it. i've tried others in hermitage but they all don't compare to golden dragon. i wish they opened in hermitage cause they would get so much business. and i will admit the prices are a little high but you get both quality and quantity for your buck, i mean i don't mind paying a little more cause they do so much more for there customers and you see them cook with effort and enjoyment. i really really appreciate this place and hope it...

It's been a while since we last ate here. That was long before COVID. Our stopping had nothing to do with food quality. We found another Chinese restaurant that offered a buffet. Since COVID, buffets have been closed and everything is takeout. So we thought we'd give the Golden Dragon another try. We've gone twice and both times the food has been hot, fresh and delicious. And you get a lot of food. You have two options in size. A pint and a quart. We got the quart size and got three meals out of them. But that depends on how much you eat. I'm a pretty good eater although not as much as when I was younger. The last time we tried their egg rolls and they are very good! Can't wait for our next time.
