BEST. MEXICAN FOOD. IN IDAHO!! Antonio's Kitchen is authentic and known for its birria so I decided to get the birria tacos, birria burrito, and birria ramen (I didn't even know this existed!) and of course the carne asada fries. When I received my food I was shocked at how beautifully it was prepared - I placed my order online and had asked for extra pico de gallo on the side and an extra side of birria broth and they made sure I received those things which you can't say for most places! I was stoked that everything looked exactly like the beautiful pictures he posts on his website; I was shocked at how fresh everything was! You can definitely tell by the quality that it was prepared as soon as I ordered. The burrito was HUGE and had the most delicious birria I have ever had all packed into an authentic flour tortilla with flavors that make you feel like you're eating at a restaurant in Mexico. The tacos were also phenomenal with a nice crunchy, perfectly fried tortilla and plenty of cheese and broth for dipping. The ramen was so flavorful; salty, a little spicy, and exactly what you need on a cold day; it had such a unique flavor! I'm a huge carne asada fries fan and let me tell you, these were definitely something I will be coming back for. They put REAL guacamole on top, layered with cheese and sour cream, fresh crunchy fries (not those soggy ones I always seem to get at other places) and the carne asada was so well cooked I almost wished I ordered a side of it all by itself, the meat was so tender and flavorful instead of burnt like most restaurants prepare it. And they hooked it up, I had enough for lunch 2 days in a row! I have found my new Mexican food spot and I can't wait to keep supporting this awesome local business. If you're driving by on your lunch break make sure you give them a chance, you will be so happy you found this hidden gem! Thank you Antonio's Kitchen for providing quality, real, authentic food and giving Idaho a good name for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI excited to see Chicharrones on the menu and was very happy with those tacos!
Chorizo had good flavor, Adobada was even better, and the Carnitas was good too. But their Chicharrones is probably my favorite in the valley so far. The red chili sauce was THICK and tasty. At most places, it's just too thin and runny. This was good and even the salsa verde stuck on and added even more flavor. However, the cuts were mostly outer rind. If the cuts were a bit thicker to include some belly, I think it'd be on par with the best Chicharrones I've ever had. The tacos came with 2 tortillas, cilantro, onions and lime wedges, and a couple grilled Serrano on request. Salsa verde was good. The chicken (not pictured) was super tasty too. My buddy got chicken Chilaquiles and I tried a bit. I usually don't bother with chicken as too many places just shred flavorless chicken breast and let the salsa flavor it, but these guys marinade, dice, and grill it so that it's juicy with a little crisp and very flavorful. I'll actually have to get chicken...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just went and bought 20 tacos, the meat was flavorless, but the most displeasing thing was that thaybcharge for salsa. I donāt mind paying for salsa specially cause I love it and use it later on other foods. The issue is that they charge for salsa now and they fill 1/3 of the container. I called them and asked if this was a mistake, perhaps some lack of training and they told me that salsa is expensive which I told them I paid extra for it. They were stating to speak Spanish between them talking some smack, little did they know I am full Mexican born and raised, probably now better soanish than them.
I used to live this place and I can only say I am very disappinted. I first met this place when they were small and unpopular literally asking for people to eat their food at the Lows parking lot. It seems that success can get to peopleās head.
I am buying my Tacos Chinos Tacos off of Franklin, better service and way, way, way...
