San Francisco Sourdough Eatery — Restaurant in Meridian

Very good sandwiches and a perfect lunch spot. Very good value here and they have combos so you can try their soup or salad with a sandwich. Great value considering the quality of the bread, meat, and cheese they put on the sandwich. The bread is fresh and warm and delicious. I've had their hot pastrami, Italian, club, and their TBA and they're all great. I think the Italian is my favorite because the salami and pepperoni are exquisite with balsamic and fresh veggies on top. On Fridays they serve clam chowder which is really good, some of the best I've had. I've also tried their tomato tortellini soup and chicken enchilada soup and they're very good as well. I recommend calling and ordering ahead so you can skip the lunch rush line which can get long. Also, the service here is awesome. All the ladies are very nice and they remember the regulars. This place is EXCELLENT! I don't normally write reviews but this place is so good I couldn't NOT write one; great service, and great food at great prices. I have also been to the one in Boise off of Emerald and while there's nothing wrong with that location, there's just something different about this one that makes it special. I always just get the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich, but I have heard very very good things about the other sandwiches as well. The bread here is DELICIOUS, come here for that alone if you have to. The owner is very nice/personable and has a very impressive memory. This place is a gem that offers the rare combination of great value and service, I am making it one of my mainstays/restaurants that I will be visiting weekly.

I had the Reuben and I highly recommend it. The meat was delicious, the kraut was great and the bread was perfect. My second favorite is the Turkey Avocado BLT and my third favorite is the bread bowl. All of their soups are delicious and honestly, all of their sandwiches are too. I haven't had their salads but they look hefty.

I would also note that everyone that works there is very friendly, especially Karen. She is one of the many reasons I go there more than once a week.
