Okay, here's the thing. The employee (I'm assuming owner) was so nice and kind. The food was made fresh and stayed warm. The flavor of both pizza was fresh and good.
The weird bit was the thinness of the pizza itself. I wouldn't say cracker-like like some people are saying, because it had a good texture/density. It was soft like you would want, it just wasn't thick enough. I would say it's the thickness of a quarter. My main feedback is to roll the pizza thicker and then BOOM it would be excellent. Personally I would want maybe 1/4th the amount of sesame seeds, or make it a free but optional add on. I didn't end up eating the crusts because of the volume of seeds.
The vibes felt unfinished, no music, not a clear themeing, like wall/decor. Think a man's first apartment after college. Add some music, painting/photos on the walls, maybe some plants.
We plan on going back in a month or two and give it another shot, just make the pizza thicker and polish off the themeing/decor and it will be...
Read moreThis pizza place was recommended to me for a client lunch. The place did not disappoint, and was a hit with everyone. There were some curious eyes when the sesame crust appeared, but once tasted, the pizzas were devoured. We started with the garlic bread w/ dipping sauces, and ended up trying 5 different styles of pizzas from the menu. (Truffle, Proper, Idaho Potato, Macho, and Pepperoni) Personally, I thought the Truffle was the best and Proper is a close second. All in all, this place is exactly what the Valley needs. With all the copycat pizza restaurants, this pizza is a treat. If you dine-in, be sure to eat in the chill 'living room' set-up. Service was friendly and attentive (we arrived at lunch time during the week), food was fresh and hot, and the whole restaurant was spotless. Finally, I brought a pepperoni pizza home to my kids, (12 & 13). Same as my clients, curious of the crust, then gobbled the whole pie up. This place...
Read moreThis was a unique Pizza experience, in a good way.
My kids and I like to try out different pizza places on a fairly consistent basis. I myself lean toward a normal combo style pizza, or a meat lovers. My kids are big fans of good old cheese pizza and cheese sticks. We all agreed our pizzas were pretty good, with one exception. The crust comes covered in sesame seeds. For me, this is not a problem. It actually added a flavor that was similar to having pretzel crust, which I enjoyed quite a bit. My kids however, who really like things in a very specific way, we're not amused by this change. 😂 After eating, we all agreed the pizza itself was very good, but they want to try it without sesame seeds. So, that would be the one take away.
Really great pizza, with some unique options, but request it without sesame seeds if you are not a fan. If you don't mind sesame seeds, you really should try it because it's surprising what it adds...
