We are thrilled to have a new Japanese restaurant in our area, especially since there was previously only one option. We decided to try it and were impressed by its high-quality food, ambiance, and excellent service.
Upon entering the restaurant, it initially felt like a franchise eatery as we placed our order through kiosks and waited for our food. However, we were pleasantly surprised when our food was brought to our table, and the owner checked to see if we needed anything else.
We initially thought the restaurant only served ramen, but we were delighted to discover that it offers a wide variety of Japanese cuisine. They had a special promotion where ordering a ramen also came with a hand roll. The Japomen Ramen had a delightful mix of flavors with a spicy kick from the yuzu jalapeno. The Yakisoba had perfect textures with stir-fried udon noodles and vegetables. The sashimi in Sushi Combo A was incredibly fresh and of premium quality, and both the Caterpillar and Volcano rolls were delicious, with all the ingredients harmoniously combined.
We are thrilled to have a high-quality Japanese restaurant like this in our neighborhood and look forward to returning to try more of...
Read moreWe ordered udon and a typical japomen, but it took them around 30 minutes to deliver the food which was way too long for any soup noodles. What’s worst was that my ramen was lukewarm. I had to ask them to reheat or at least pour another round of hot soup to make it more edible. The strange thing I saw was that they were trying to deliver four to five bowls of noodles at once despite they were coming from different orders. I suspect the bowls were all cooked from different times, and my bowl was done cooking earliest and just sat there turning cold while waiting for other bowls for other customers to be cooked. Why they didn’t serve food as soon as it was done cooking baffled me. It is disappointing because it didn’t taste bad at all had it been hot, but the lukewarm temperature ruined it, and even after pouring another round of hot soup didn’t do too much save it. I might give it another chance, but they have some work to do in terms of system engineering to deliver the food to customers...
Read moreI’ve been to Japomen in Vienna a few times now and it’s consistently a great experience. I usually stick to the sushi and it’s always fresh and well-prepared. One of the highlights for me is the hand roll set which I highly recommend. It comes with spicy salmon, soft shell crab, and spicy toro with truffle. The spicy toro with truffle is easily the standout. It’s rich, flavorful, and just indulgent enough without being too heavy.
My husband often gets the ramen and udon and both have a rich, flavorful broth that he really enjoys. The noodles have a great texture and the portions are generous.
What makes Japomen even better is that it’s super affordable without compromising on quality. You get fresh and well-executed Japanese food that tastes like it should cost more than it does.
The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it a great spot whether you’re craving sushi or a comforting bowl of noodles. Japomen is a reliable go-to for solid Japanese...
