Went this past Thursday and Friday, first weekend of November. They are still in a soft opening, looks like they are advertising the 16th as the grand opening. Given that they are still working out the kinks, I have no complaints, but here is my honest feedback.
Pros: Food is fantastic. Everything I have ordered has been great. Pretzel, wings, chicken sandwich, egg rolls have all been excellent. Looking forward to trying the burgers and flatbreads next.
All the bartenders have been exceptionally nice and helpful, even as they are learning the system and the menu themselves.
Beer selection is very good and prices are in line with what you will find anywhere else.
I really like the size and layout of the place. Itās very small but I like the intimate feel and they have a few TVs that will show the top sporting events.
Some suggestions :
The ordering system is kind of weird. They seem to only have two iPads that they take orders on, and itās confusing as to if you need to go to the bar to order, or if they will come to your table. We have been told both ways to order. If ordering is all electronic, it would be nice to just order on your phone like you do at nearby Caboose.
Itās very very bright in there. I think the atmosphere would be improved if they dimmed the lights a bit.
Pricing is a little confusing, if you want something extra it just says on the menu āfor a bit moreā instead of actually telling you how much it is which I find strange.
Some additional wine selections would be nice for people that donāt want beer but itās called the casual pint so what can you expect.
All in all, Iām really excited to have the Casual Pint in the neighborhood and I hope nothing but...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve enjoyed going here since it first opened and I donāt even like beer that much. The atmosphere and bartenders are great, and they always have some ciders mixed into their extensive beer offerings. The food is ok. I like the snacks/appetizers more than their meal options, but itās a bar so I think theyāre doing good with that.
Overall, itās a great place to hang and grab a drink with your peeps! They also have events like trivia on Wednesday nights.
*Edit/Response: I think something the menu could use is a simple, slightly healthier option thatās a bit better than salad, maybe like some sort of grain bowl with chicken/steak and veggies or something (like cava). Keeping it to chicken could be easy since you already have that protein in other dishes. That could just be me though.
Trivia on Wednesdays with Cathy/Pour House is still a great feature. Also, the first two karaoke nights that weāve gone to with DJ Dakota Danger have been really fun. I think they run on select Thursdays (every...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFantastic spot!!! Great vibes, amazing beer selection, and if I could give the service 10/5 stars I absolutely would. This area has been in need of a good local spot to grab a drink, and this place fills that gap and goes beyond. They have beers ranging from hoppy double IPAs to smooth stouts, and everything in between! Food is yummy bites (I can always find something good as a vegetarian!) that fit the pub atmosphere.
Not only are the drinks and food delicious, but the staff are the funniest, kindest people youāll ever meet, and can turn a nice time into the highlight of your week. If Chuck is working behind the bar, youāre guaranteed to have a great night and a great beer recommendation!
All in all, the fun and low key atmosphere, varied and constantly changing beer list, and lovely staff make this place an absolute gem. If youāre looking for a fun place to grab a bite or a drink,...
