I drove 1.5 hours for a lobster dinner. Was charged extra instead of being able to switch sides from a potato to corn. Total was $41.00 (no tip left on a pick up) and change but was charged $7 extra which would mean that an unauthorized charge was applied on purpose (STEALING) . I was told that the charge was accidental and that the bank may have upcharged for room for a tip. The tip part was crossed off on the receipt and my signature was next to it so how it was applied after I left the restaurant “accidentally” was beyond me. I called for clarification and the customer service at this point is horrible because the owner deflected by not taking responsibility and trying to make excuses and tells me he’ll get to the bottom of it without urgency. But stealing on a check is an unacceptable business practice because how does someone’s check they wrote a tip on get mixed with mine that says 0, and the transaction happened days ago and posted days ago by my bank. Mistakes happen but the customer calling to have it rectified and being rudely talked to because it happens a lot is unacceptable. Food isn’t even that...

This was my first visit to New Hampshire and The Lobster Boat. I absolutely loved this place! From the decorations to the food and especially our waitress. I highly recommend this place as a must if you're in the area. We got to the restaurant near closing expecting to get turned away, but we weren't. I thought ok but the waitress is going to be annoyed and rush us; she didn't, the exact opposite. Izzy was so sweet and helpful. Best waitress I've had anywhere! I asked her what she recommended and I got my very first lobster roll. It was delicious! I also ordered the lobster bisque and it was good, but my husband's clam chowder was the best I have ever had! Definitely a must have.....it's like an "O" for your mouth. You won't be disappointed I promise!

Not wheelchair accessible This establishment is not wheelchair accessible so it was a good thing I can walk short distances and waddle in. They also don't have handicapped parking. It wasn't a problem because we got there towards closing, but would be otherwise. I still recommend coming here if you're wheelchair bound like me, just get the...

My family has eaten at Lobster Boat in Merrimack, NH many times. Last week, we placed an order for take-out, ordering the Fisherman’s Platter dinner, and a Tuna Roll sandwich.

When we arrived, our order was ready. (The service at this restaurant has always been good, whether dining in, or taking out one’s order.) A 15–20-minute drive home, the food was on the table and ready to be consumed. And the food was still hot!

My husband generally orders the tuna roll; he always says the same thing about it – “it’s wonderfully, predictably good.”

The Fisherman’s Platter, the larger dinner portion, for two adults, had a ‘Wow’ factor! This is seafood at its best. If you like clam strips, baby shrimp, bay scallops, haddock, and onion rings, this dinner is for you. I would order it again without hesitation. My son and I give it a thumbs-up, and we even had leftovers. Great portion for the price.

Didn’t order the clam chowder this time, but have had it many times, and it’s a winner, too. Again, If you like seafood, this is the...

I know parking is going to be tough here, but man, it was rough. I simply ordered food to go and basically parked in the street to make it work. On top of that, the food received was just not worth it. I ordered the fisherman’s platter which is $25. I know to expect some fries as part of the box to make it appear more full, but the whole bottom of my box was stuffed with fries. The top portion had a quarter of it with just the haddock the other 3/4ths were baby fried shrimp maybe 12-15, fried clam strips, at best 10, and bay scallops (the tiny ones) probably 6-8 the rest was fries. The onion rings were in a separate container literally dripping with grease through the paper bag I got the food in. I get cost of food and inflation and all that, but for $25 bucks I expected better quality and more food. I tossed the grease-soaked fries and onion rings, ate the protein, and was hungry.

If you're in New England, this is an absolute *must-visit*! The seafood here is out of this world. We ordered the fried clams and a lobster roll, and they were completely amazing. Everything was perfectly cooked, fresh, and packed with flavor. The portions are huge—you get exactly what you see in the photos attached and more, and we even had enough to take home what is left on our plates per the images! 🙂 We ate as much as we could because it was that good. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. Our server, Carol, was also fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made our experience even better. We'll definitely be back to New Hampshire just for this place!
