Marc's Pizza & Subs "Home Of The Roman" — Restaurant in Merrimack

Once in a while, I get recommended to try new places I might be interested in. I like to be surprised when I visit these places and not expect a certain "experience" by searching anything before I visit. Honestly, nothing could have prepared me for this because I promise the pictures do not do the food justice. We pulled into the lot and we were surprised by how small the establishment looked, but there we could see 2 tables to sit at inside, so there was plenty of room for us. When we walked in, the menu takes up the entire wall!! It is a massive menu, and that's just the beginning! I originally wanted to order a calzone but I was informed it was only one size. So instead, I ordered a small steak and cheese sub. My husband ordered a large meatball sub. The time was almost 7:00 and they closed that night at 7:30 and we had opted to dine in. About 10 minutes later, our food was ready and I tell you this, I was in shock by the size of the subs! A small sub is a good foot long and a large is 2 feet long! I looked at my husband and he looked at me and we knew there was no way on earth we would finish this before they closed, IF we could finish them at all! We scooted out of there and headed straight home to eat them. We even had to use forks! Massive, massive amounts of food come out of this small place so do not be fooled! This is some serious big time eating so only bring your eating faces and dig in. This is some real home cooking made with love and you can't get that everywhere. That's a fact. I'm a regular customer at Marc's Pizza & Subs.... whatever I order (unless I'm splitting a single-item order) will last me at least 2 meals, and everything I've had from Marc's has been delicious! The servings are VERY generous (I can only eat half of one of Marc's "small" subs in one sitting - the other half comes home for dinner that night or lunch the next day).

My go-to meal is the 10-piece butter garlic parmesan chicken tenders. They are ALWAYS amazing!!

The mozzarella sticks are very tasty as well. I ordered a giant pizza to share with coworkers - it fed 6 people and a couple of us were still able to take a couple slices home for later! The meatballs are HUGE and very filling in a very tasty sauce, too!

I always look forward to my weekly (most weeks) visit to Marc's! The folks who run the place are hard-working, friendly, and great to chit-chat with! Thanks for all the fantastic food and service! Love...

Very good meatball sub! Looks like he keeps the place clean too.

EDIT: just had steak and cheese sub, small, he doesn't even suggest putting mushrooms and onions or anything else on it, which I in fact support, and it was huge, $15 which is reasonable considering it's size and quality, a small is easily shareable, literally packed to the brim with steak but not spongy and dry like you sometimes get but moist and tender, he says he slices it himself which is why he sometimes runs out of steak, roll was good too, chewy. Have been impressed with what I have had here and he seems like a nice guy. Just wish he would cut sub in half, not sure why he doesn't, when you have to pull it apart all the steak falls out and it's too long to comfortably eat as is. Make sure you ask him to cut the...
