Big Dog Kombucha — Restaurant in Merritt Island

Update: The owner, Gerhard keeps going with his BS. Facts: I was there in March 2023, I supplied photos. I wrote the review now because I’m back in the area and it reminded me of how poorly I was treated. I didn’t initially write it because it was a newer business and I had met the Owner a few times and he was a friend of a friend. Gerhard can deny it all he wants, but it’s 100% factual. If you want me to stop in on my way back through town when I’m done here in the Keys, I can arrange that. His responses prove what I’m saying. Steer clear. Update: The Owner now claims I wasn’t there and is claiming I posted a picture he took. I clearly took the picture and have posted a second picture from my phone with the time stamp of March 11th, 2023 at 11:54 am. I see a pattern here. I have a witness if needed. Ridiculous!

Actual review: I was in here with a friend who was a good customer. After talking to the owner quickly and seeing his reaction to a quick joke to break the ice, I discovered that he is a grumpy, poor excuse for a human being. I wouldn’t walk across the sidewalk to pee on him if he was on fire. The product may be good, but the owner by far makes up for it. Needless to say, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you like to treated like crap. If you do like to be treated like crap, try Dick’s Last Resort instead! I was really impressed with the knowledge I learned coming to this hole in a wall. The understanding of what I was trying and drinking is all natural and can help people with anxiety, weight loss, focusing, relaxation, and so much more. The first time I walked in, I felt relaxed by the soothing music playing and the few people that were in there. I was dealing with a lot of stress today, but after drinking the excellent and light beverage, I felt amazing and felt like I could carry on with my day. The craving that I had for vaping (since I recently stopped) I don't crave that anymore. It's a great alternative to drinking alcohol because it still gives you the calming and nondrunkness as drinking would. I'm gonna come back here for more and try more different combinations. You’re reading reviews to be convinced to come here… no convincing here, you should have already visited. ABSOLUTELY LOVE this little brewery. They have the best kombucha I’ve ever tasted, and I’ve tasted A LOT (including my own). They let you sample every single kombucha they have, tell you all about their process and flavorings. They also have 3 medicinal brews which include kava, kratom, and hemp. My favorite was the Botanical Beer with Yaupon Strawberry. They use local honey and fresh fruit. Worried about alcohol content? They lab test their kombucha, so no need to stress. Want some alcohol in it? Visit their bar “lift off lounge”. Don’t overthink this. JUST GO! Your life will change. Thank me later!
