This place is just RIDICULOUS. AWFUL ... AWFUL. I really need to just STOP going here. I keep thinking it has to get better ... it was just a bad day ... they were just off today. They're OFF EVERY DAY!
I go there for breakfast almost every weekday and there's an issue. Every FREAKING day. From super long wait times, to sitting at the speaker and having to go, "hello .... helloooooo" to get someone to acknowledge me, to getting Egg McMuffins that are doused in some kind of butter-like substance, to Egg McMuffins that are so slapped together and fall apart, to iced tea that is transparent and tastes like water, to hash browns that are cold or, as in Monday's case, cooked to the point of being petrified and inedible.
03/20/25 - This morning the drive-thru was VERY backed up - as usual - so I decided to do curbside. I ordered my usual - Egg McMuffin, Hash Brown, Large Unsweet Iced Tea. 10 minutes later I'm still sitting in curbside spot #4 and all 14 drive-thru cars have gone and new ones are being served and NO CURBSIDE SERVICE.
I go repark closer to the door and go in. The woman in the bright yellow safety vest is running around doing EVERYTHING BESIDES CURBSIDE SERVICE! I ask if she's doing curbside and she says yes - oh I have your order right over here. I was going to bring it out in just a minute. I tell her it's been 10 minutes and that is ridiculous. That all the cars have gone through the drive-thru and more have come and gone. She gives me the food and my barely tan iced tea that is now sitting on my desk because it tastes like dirty water. I take my bag and start to leave. She says do you want ketchup and I say no at which point some old men in the lobby laugh at me. I just leave.
I get to the car - driving to work - thinking well at least the food will be hot because I waited so long and she acted like she just put the bag together. NOPE! Hash brown was so-so and the Egg McMuffin was basically cold so it had been sitting there in the bag and no one brought it curbside.
We've given this McDonald's many chances. My husband tried the chicken big mac back in November and it was awful. He couldn't even chew the chicken patties. They were old and overcooked and reheated. This stuff isn't cheap! My first job was McDonald's and my management would have NEVER put up with that lack of quality - never! I'm Gen X so it was ages ago but still. I expect edible and temperature correct food. And no 10 minute waits. 10 minutes does not qualify as FAST FOOD.
Do better McDonalds -...
Read moreIn the pantheon of gastronomic experiences, one seldom expects to encounter the apotheosis of mediocrity. However, nestled inconspicuously amidst the mundane sprawl of fast-food establishments lies the McDonald's at Signal Butte. Embarking upon a culinary pilgrimage to this hallowed ground, one is immediately besieged by a cacophony of sensory assault, the likes of which even the most intrepid epicurean would tremble to confront.
Upon crossing the threshold, the pallid aura of apathy pervades every facet of this establishment. The ambiance, if one dares to ascribe such a term, is akin to a dimly lit purgatory, where the flickering fluorescence casts a ghastly pallor upon the despondent visages of both patrons and staff alike. The air hangs heavy with the unmistakable scent of desolation, punctuated only by the synthetic aroma of grease and despair.
Service, that sacred covenant between purveyor and patron, is rendered a farcical charade in this dismal theater of the absurd. The denizens behind the counter move with the languid torpor of the condemned, their vacant stares betraying a profound disinterest in the culinary rites they purportedly undertake. Requests for sustenance are met with a disdainful lethargy, as though the mere act of fulfilling one's gastronomic desires is an intolerable burden upon their existential ennui.
And then, dear reader, we arrive at the pièce de rĂŠsistance: the fare itself. To describe the offerings at this lamentable establishment as "food" would be a grievous insult to the very essence of gastronomy. The "burgers" â if one can deign to call them such â arrive limp and lifeless, their pallid buns encasing a paltry semblance of meat so bereft of flavor and texture as to defy comprehension. Accompaniments of "fries" resemble nothing so much as desiccated husks, their pallid countenances betraying the grim reality of their tortured existence.
In summation, dear connoisseurs of the culinary arts, to patronize the McDonald's at Signal Butte is to embark upon a descent into the very abyss of gastronomic despair. One cannot in good conscience assign a rating higher than the nadir of culinary achievement: a dismal 1/5. Let this review stand as a cautionary tale to all who would dare to traverse the murky waters of fast-food purgatory â abandon hope, all ye...
Read moreThe costumer service was so bad it doenst deserve any starts at all. I pulled up to the drive thru speaker and told the woman that i had an online order to pick up. She told me "okay is it under the name __?" and i confirmed that it was my name. And she told me "okay pull up to the 2nd window". I pull up to the drive through window and this lady comes up with 2 bags of ice asking if we had order that. Which we did not, we explained to her that we had an online order to pick up. So that lady walked away and ANOTHER lady came up and asked us the same question if we had orded ice. We told her again that no we did not order ice, we orded 2 big macs. So then she tells us that we need a 4 digit confirmation code. I told her that i didnt have the code bcuz i had closed the app and when i oped it up again the code was gone and all the app said "thank you for ordering" and the app said that i had already picked up the order. So the app didnt show me the code. So then the lady tells us again that we need a code i had to explain to her multiple times that i didnt have the code, since they had already put the order as already picked up the app didnt show me the code. We told them the name that the order was under and exactly what i had orded so I wasnt stealing the food. I cant predict what someone is going to order like that, its just not how it works. After a while of arguing with her she brough out her manager and he told us the same thing that we needed the code and i had to tell him yet again that the app didnt show me the code anymore, they had already set the order as "already picked up". The manager proceeds to raise his voice at us and yell at us and be very rude and disrespectful. In the end we got our order with very disrespectful comments thrown at us by the manager and he handed our food to us in a very forceful manner almost throwing our food at us. Very incompitent employees that have zero respect for their costumers. They also had very poor listening skills and refused to understand what was going on or how to help me, they choose to raise their voice at me and get...
