Bubble Leaf Boba Lounge — Restaurant in Mesquite

I was super excited about a new boba spot opening in mesquite and finally got the chance to try it. I’m a little confused about all these positive reviews, because the drinks I had were all thrown out after a few sips.

I think the drink prices are appropriate. And the boba pearls I had were perfectly chewy and sweet.

The Thai tea was foamy and watery, not creamy. And it was made with spoiled milk? It was sour and there was visible milk curdles in it (pictures below). Tasted like a sour fruit was mixed with yogurt, did not taste like thai tea.

The oolong tea was again watery, and did not taste like tea at all.

The Nutella latte was not made with Nutella. It did not have the hazelnut taste of Nutella. It wasn’t blended well, and I was able to catch the chocolate in a strainer (picture below). It also did not have a coffee taste, and the drink was made with coffee from a pot and not from an espresso machine like a true latte.

I don’t know if the person who made my drinks just didn’t do a good job, but I was honestly disappointed. This was not real boba at all. I will try it again though on a different day to see if I can get someone else to make my drink.

Hey this place is nice as all get out. It's like a Starbucks on steroids. From the outside you think it's the old normal little bubble shop. Open the doors and your instantly hit in the face with great atmosphere and freshness meaning they keep their store clean. The lounge is very accommodating. It sits quite a few people with charge ports at the base of the chairs those could use a Lil Tlc but still a 5 star shop. They also have tables to sit I'd you prefer other than lounge. Also clean restrooms. This place didn't stop. You have a choice to use your horrible eyes to squint or download the menu. Download it. The 2 young ladies in this shop rock with many orders to fill they run this shop in SYNC and very knowledgeable of their jobs. The patience they have and even if they feel overwhelmed the attitude is heads down and get it done. I love that. Applaud these young ladies. The menu is very plentiful in choice. Need to catch up with an old friend or buisness? Order, I dare you. And have a seat only to wait for your number to be called and let the bubbles in the window mesmerize you. To go or chill. I had a great experience here! The ambience is cozy and looks like a cool hangout spot. The staff are friendly and helpful and so kind! I ordered four drinks and all four were amazing! Tastes very fresh and easy to digest. The boba and the poppings in general were of the right texture. The first drink is the taro milk tea I got since it was recommended to have the least amount of added sugar. I added lychee poppings. The tea was not chalky at all- it was the right consistency! The second is the strawberry bubble protein shake- the agave in it did a good job of adding some sweetness to it. I’m not a big fan of protein shakes so to me it tastes like a protein shake should be. The third is a strawberry banana smoothie with whole milk. I highlight this one to speak to how kind the staff was- my previous drink was lactose free so they double checked that I wanted whole milk in this one (other options include soy 2% almond etc) The fourth drink is my go to at boba places- passion fruit tea- very delicious and lived up to the mark!
