Update: The store manager called and apologized for the situation yesterday which really just ended up being a misunderstanding. We got everything worked out and a cash refund. Our faith in Buckaroos is restored and updating this review to 5 stars!
I have purchased a few items from here and usually don’t have any issues. I came in today and sold a bassinet because my baby didn’t like it. Since we found another bassinet in the store that we liked we decided to get store credit and purchase it. Well, after driving all the way home, we took the new bassinet apart to clean only to find out it had a broken piece on it. We decided to drive all the way back up to the store to return it. Firstly, the female manager tried to tell me the bassinet piece was not broken without even looking at it. Then after I made her look at the bassinet she admitted it was broken. Since we did not like any of the other bassinets in the store and they did not have an identical one, I asked nicely to get a cash refund rather than store credit. The female manager immediately dismissed me and told me we would only get store credit back and had zero sympathy for our time and gas required to come back to the store. I have never had any issues with the male manager...
Read moreFirst visit to this store was 1/2/20. I visited to sell items only, but I did walk around the store waiting for the appraisal amount for my items.
Pros: good variety of items
Cons: They don’t give a fair amount for items that are in perfect or new condition. I decided to go ahead and sell to them because the items were taking up space in the house and I didn’t have a friend or family to give them to. They paid me $80 total for a bassinet, an electric swing, clothing items, side by side sleeper, a pack of diapers, and a brand new mattress pad. All items were either never used or in perfect condition. My purchase price was around 320 dollars and it was definitely worth more than 80 bucks. If this is the way this business acquires items I’m surprised anyone sells to them more than once. When I asked the worker for an itemized list of my appraised items, showing me what they were paying me for each item, she appeared frustrated as if it was an issue to show me. She said we don’t normally do an itemized list. Well maybe it be a good idea to start.
Bottom line: Find other ways to sell your items if you have the time. I will not be returning to this store....
Read moreA great place to buy and sell gently used baby to child clothes and toys. They sell things from newborn to about size 16. I love their corral where my child can watch a Disney movie or other cartoon fenced in inside the corral with a few toys while I shop. The owners of the shop are often at the cash register, and they're very friendly. When you buy enough things over different trips, your account accrues credits for discounts on future purchases. If you sell your things, you can get cash or credits to your account which you use to buy things from their shop. They have many cute touches like a popcorn machine you can get a bag from on your way out. They sell strollers, teething necklaces, hair bows, a variety of toys, books, DVDs, shoes, socks, dance clothes, Halloween costumes, dresses, coats and more. What sets them apart from other children's resale shops is they only sell nicer things in good condition, and their shop isn't grimy. I'm a frequent customer and recommend them....
