For SO many years, I've heard about Spudly's. Now their commercials mention the fact that they're no longer visible from I-10, because a tall wall was built along that stretch of the Interstate highway.
I saw one of their television commercials today and AGAIN just felt sorry for them having to deal with being hidden from view. I wondered about how they stay in business under those circumstances.
Well, I decided to make the half-hour drive and give them my support.
This was my first visit to Spudly's. I was happy to see the many menu choices. I knew I wanted some meat... and cheese. I decided on the Super Pizza Spud.
What arrived at my table was a giant baked potato, covered by a generous combination of "sliced pepperoni, sautéed mushrooms and black olives in a rich italian sauce, topped with mozzarella and chives".

Read moreSpudly's has the beeeessssttt potato skins ever. It's basically two whole potatoes. I get the Wisconsin with 3 cheeses, bacon bits, and sour cream. They have so many good options. Their seafood spud is delicious. Service is fast and food is hot. Great for pick up too, the food is still nice and hot when you get home. The french onion soup is good as well. The service is always friendly and very quick, and the prices are decent.
My only wish is that they would use real butter as opposed to margerine, but they do a great job of keeping the prices down, so it's easily forgiven.
They are now doing a great deal of curbside, and were even meeting you outside to order, so if you want to skip the drive thru, but didn't call ahead, this is a...
