The Irish Cottage — Restaurant in Methuen

This spot never disappoints with their food and service. Jen was personable and funny. First time trying their nachos and I have to say they put a twist on traditional nachos with kettle cooked chips that makes tortilla chips the ugly cousin. I can’t say what I really want bcuz ppl would probably think it’s racist but I’m Mexican so it’s a good joke to me. The Irish Cottage has crept up to be my #1 spot for a night out for drinks, no doubt delicious food and several options. 2/3/24-I gave an awesome review that I won’t take back although today I had a bad experience. A friend and I were waiting for 40 min for a table. And yes we agreed to stay and wait although we knew it could be an hour but that wasn’t the issue. The issue is that 40 min into waiting, a couple walked in and sat down on an empty table for two. Mind you this table for two was empty for a solid 20 min or more but we were never text to sit. The couple was not seated and that left a bad taste in my mouth. A waitress noticed and still went over and served them instead of doing the right thing and having them wait like everyone else. I sent a DM on FB immediately and still today 2/6/24 no response. Definitely dropped off for first choice.

Our experience at the Irish Cottage was great! The waitress actually got my drink order incorrect and I wasn't going to mention anything because I didn't mind. SHE actually realized her error and corrected it, which truly wasn't necessary, but it goes to show she was paying attention. She was extremely friendly and upbeat, and moved swiftly throughout the restaurant to ensure her tables were tended to in a timely manner. I'm not sure of her name but you could tell she took pride in her work and was pleased to be serving us.

We ordered Poutine to start which was delicious. It had huge bacon pieces in it, which isn't my favorite because I'm not a lover of pork, but if you are, this was for you! For the meal I got the Turkey Gobbler Panini. I got mashed potatoes as a side and it was also served with gravy. It was a great meal and my boyfriend enjoyed the leftovers just the same. The girls I went to dinner with all enjoyed their meals.

The atmosphere was comfortable enough that you could laugh and enjoy the company you were in without feeling like you were in a quiet, uncomfortable space. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and I will be back in the future. Thank...

I visited solely to bring my kids to a child's birthday party whose parents are close friends. While I didn't get a chance to see the entire parkgrounds I was able to tell it's a decent place to take the kids camping in an RV or cabins. The RVs sites looked very cramped and close to each other but assume they have more spacious lots to rent out elsewhere in the park besides the area near the beach. Beach area was a bit small but clean and clearly marked for children. There seemed to be other areas in the park to go fishing from the shoreline, and saw a bunch of paddle boats out on the water. Would be nice for them to have a store in the middle of the park as well instead of only at the entrance but this may not be a bother for those without kids or a need to purchase anything. Overall it was clean, and everyone had a great time. My only concern would be camp spacing so be sure to check that they offer large lots than the RVs spots that are waterside near the beach just beyond the entrance, especially if you need room for your children to play as each RV was about 10-15 feet apart with the same amount of outdoor space in the front and back of...
