I ordered the bbq with smoked beef. What I got ... I'm not sure!! It looked and tasted like ground beef with a sort of taco seasoning. ABSOLUTELY not what I expected when I asked for the "smoked" beef. If this is the way the smoked beef is prepared then it shouldn't be advertised as smoked when you order the BBQ style potato. If this was the only flavor of beef available on this particular day then that should have been conveyed so that the consumer could make an informed choice or another option even. I have resided in the KC area for the past 34 years where I just so happened to serve in the food and beverage industry. I was also a part of the COMPETITIVE BBQ industry serving the community under the name Pig Newton, having won Grand Champion as well as several runner up and reserved champion titles competing all across the Midwest. So, when I order and when a business advertises "Smoked" beef as part of a BBQ entree I definitely as well as others who know BBQ will expect a smoked meat product. Not what I received. The meat appeared to be ground as well. The taste of taco seasoning with BBQ sauce does not please the palat to say the very least. If this product I received was indeed Mr. Murphy's idea of smoked beef then perhaps the item should contain an ingredient list in the description. ESPECIALLY when you list a disclaimer on your menu/site about not being responsible for unknown allergies in your food. My family has been indulging in the potato truck for quite some time when it visits Moberly and seem quite pleased with the offerings however admit to NEVER trying the smoked beef or smoked chicken (and I am curious to know how the smoked chicken is prepared). So, I had been looking forward to trying the food off this truck for months now and am sorry to say for the price I paid versus what I received is completely disappointing and a HUGE letdown!!!! When you are selling a product to the public, advertisement of what you offer is what drives in your business. Quality of that product is what keeps them coming back. That is a lesson well learned after serving 34 years in the food service industry. I too aspire to own a food truck as I am relocating back to my roots in the Chariton County area. Maybe now I have a good idea of what I...
