This business does NOT take the pandemic seriously at all. Not a single customer (at least 35 people in this time) in the 30 minutes I was there wore, or even appeared to have a mask, walking in or out. The waitress tried to sit us directly next to another booth, within inches of other customers, and when we told her we wanted moved away she shortly thereafter seated another table directly next to us. One waitress spent the entirety of our stay with her mask either under her nose or ALL THE WAY UNDER HER CHIN, and the other AT LEAST kept hers up while walking amongst the patrons, but behind the counter with the food she had hers down, drinking and eating, then touching food prep things with her unwashed hands while her mask was down. She even refilled one of the drink dispensers with her dirty hands and her mask down. I am disgusted with the way this restaurant is run and I WILL be...
Read moreI am a huge supporter of shopping and eating at local/family owned places so this pains me to write but.....This place is ridiculous. We went in on a Saturday afternoon at about 3:15-3:30pm and there was one waitress. There was 2 other parties in the restaurant when we got there. Not busy by any means. Not her fault she was alone, but we had to seat ourselves. We didnt get our drinks ordered until about 10 minutes in. The wait for food was absolutely insane. Almost an hour. We were a party of 6. 4 out of our 6 got their food and were almost finished by the time the last 2 plates came out. We were told the cook messed them up and had to redo them. The lime margaritas were disgusting. It was a terrible experience, not to mention 2 of us ended up sick later that night. Save yourself a headache and...
Read moreI love Vega's! The staff is always really great and efficient. The food is just really good. It's not fancy. They don't get crazy with flavor varieties or unique menu items, but you will always get consistent, delicious, food. I ordered a few tacos al a carte, because none of their combos had 4 tacos... Which honestly says more about me than them, but they were all different and delicious. As a bonus they have el Yukateco hot sauce, which is one of my favorites. Also got the queso with the chips and salsa, which had some thick cheese chunks in it, that was either unmelted cheese, or perhaps a little bit of the scrapings from the bottom of the pot. I ate it either way, and it was still good. Overall, just really solid Mexican food....
