I'm genuinely conflicted as I write this review because, while the food and service at this location are usually commendable, there is a significant issue that has prompted my low rating. This problem centers around an employee named Tiffany S., whose behavior has consistently been unacceptable. Our first unpleasant encounter with Tiffany occurred in 2023. When I tried to correct a mistake in my order, she responded with visible irritation and shouted, "WHAT YUH SEH YUH WANT" in a manner that was not only disrespectful but also unprofessional given that she appeared quite young, perhaps no older than 22. Her attitude worsened as she walked off before I could clarify my order. This incident was not isolated; another customer expressed similar complaints to the supervisor at the same time, indicating a pattern of rudeness. Despite giving the restaurant a break, we returned a few months later, hoping for a better experience. However, Tiffany was still there, and her service had not improved. She delayed taking our order and repeatedly claimed she couldn't hear us, despite us speaking clearly. The order was still wrong when we collected our food. On April 5th, another visit mirrored the previous ones. Tiffany took an excessively long time to acknowledge us at the drive-thru and was visibly hostile. This time, my wife placed the order, and despite her clear articulation, Tiffany repeatedly asked her to repeat herself in a condescending tone. At the window, Tiffany's demeanor was cold, and she completely ignored our attempts to correct an erroneous order. Ultimately, we insisted on a refund as the order was not only wrong but also included items we didn't request. Tiffany's response was dismissive and uncooperative until she reluctantly processed the refund. As long as Tiffany S. is employed at this location, I regret to say that we will not be returning. Her continued presence on the staff, despite these ongoing issues, is bewildering and suggests a lack of appropriate managerial action. I hope this feedback is taken seriously as a call for necessary changes.

4 stars for the quality of food. This is the spot for Jamaican dishes. Food is flavorful, delicious and consistent every time. Meats are all tender & thoroughly seasoned - especially all the chicken (brown stew, curry, jerk) & the oxtails. I really like that the food is served at a hot temperature. Dutch Pot has one of my favorite white rices with that hint of coconut milk. I don't even order the peas and rice anymore. On the other hand, the festival (fried dough) is very sweet and quite dense. Service..... *s i g h* I prefer to go inside so I can ask for gravy on the rice to my liking but it takes twice as long to be served inside as it does going through the drive-thru. They have signs up about being short-staffed but from my observations, on the inside, it's moreso inefficiencies in the way plates are prepared. Put two people stationary on the line and it will fly. The servers get to choose how *and when* they want to make plates, so there are times no plates are being made, even with a line to the door. Meanwhile, the ONE person making the online orders has made 20 plates while customers are standing in an unmoving line. It's maddening. If the food wasn't so good, I'd leave every time. That being said, the drive-thru is a tight fit around the building but moves at a good pace and is a much more pleasant wait in the comfort of ones vehicle. Have to make mention of the $5.99 everyday special plate. It's a great amount of food for one person! This is the biggest meal deal around! Across the menu, depending on the time of day, be mentally prepared for items to have run out. It's either the oxtails 😭 or the jerk chicken. So the earlier, the better to be safe and satisfied.

This is one of my favorite Jamaican food places in Florida. At the least in the North Miami region. I'll just share my experience for today. I had a great experience for take out. Although, it is always pack at night, the staff do their best to move out the lines quickly. I parked, then walked into the space, I had to wait in line but it was worth it. It was probably around 10 to 15 minutes I believe. Which is not that bad at all. I was able to get the brown stew chicken, which is one of my favorites over here. It is well cooked and seasoned. I didn't taste any over bearing flavors. Which is a good sign. I can never stop my self from getting the large lol. They give you a lot of food for that size. I may end up getting a smaller size from now on. For personal reasons only. One thing I observed, was when a customer that was next to me complaining about the price the oxtail. I'm not the best at prices for stuff. Since I only have a handful of Jamaican places that I have gotten too. I know for sure they would of giving you a lot of food no matter the price. Matter of fact, there's a Jamaican spot in winwood that I can't remember the name at the moment. It's more expensive and gives you smaller portions. As I am typing away, I remembered this lol. You guys be the judge of the oxtail price. When I saw their oxtail, it looked delicious lol. So y'all can let me know!

Worst experience ever server unfriendly cashier extremely rude I went there with the intentions of ordering oxtails but looking at the lady ahead of me she ordered the lunch special which was brown stew chicken and white rice looking at the large portion she got I decided to order the same thing so I told the server I want the same thing she got but with rice and peas she proceeded to give me white rice I said I wanted rice and peas so this is my first experience they do not listen very well so when she fixed my order I noticed that my portion was smaller so I said why is my mind so small and the man that fixed the lady ahead of me he said because your pieces are larger so the server through another piece of meat on my plate okay as I went to the register to pay I also ordered a Jamaican Patty and my order came to $10.17 so I gave the cashier a $20 bill and a $1 bill and she said why you gave me so much money I said so you can take the 17 cents out of the dollar and give me a $10 bill back she said why you got to have attitude I got attitude because I'm explaining to her why I gave her $21 she said you could have just gave me the 20 I would have given you a 10 dollar bill back I said okay then just give me my dollar back which she did, so I said it doesn't matter what the customer give you what you do is put the amount in the register and let the register tell you what change to give the customer back she started speaking to me in patois and said no suh not mi, I could not believe that I have to argue with somebody at the register when I gave them the amount that I intended to give them and all they had to do was give me my change back worst experience ever I would never ever go back to Dutch pot, and besides the food is not all that good the rice is overwhelming with coconut the chicken you taste no Jamaican spices whatsoever just taste like regular American stewed chicken cabbage looks like coleslaw farewell Dutch pot I should have just went to Jamaica House which is in the plaza East of them but I just wanted to try something new never again first and last she gave me no receipt she tied my food up in the back and I asked her where is my Patty so she never put the Patty in the bag...

Disappointing Experience at Dutch Pot Jamaican Unfortunately, the experience was marred by terrible service. I waited over 30 minutes for food, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. Two cars in line, still a long wait time. Employee stated they were out of rice, informed me to go into the store (wish I just stayed in drive thru) however making sure other guest don’t wait as long and ignore as I did. Went inside no one knew why I was waiting as the employee in the drive thru did not communicate with anyone in front of the store. Most be a Dutch pot policy no communication between employees our company policy be rude!. Where I see rice being served guess the employees have no troubleshooting skills. This company is the most corrupt company as a guest I will never step foot on their property again. Ants have more communication skills than any human in that building. anyone working in that company, the poor service. Needs better communication and customer service also troubleshooting skills.

The employees seemed unhappy and uninterested in serving customers. They were dismissive. It felt like i was interrupting and inconveniencing them, and they couldn't be bothered to make an effort.

The lack of attentiveness and general rudeness really soured the experience. It's a shame because customers build this company but this no care and stereotype rude Jamaican theme is old! hope this company fine better management and corporate management, employees training skills and yes better everything. My dog is more friendlier to work there, than any person in that building. Sad world!

I won't be returning to this old school Jamaican theme time to hang it up. There are plenty of other restaurants with delicious food and friendly service, and I'd recommend those moving forward instead. Multiple visits unable to ignore the child like business. My recommendation to any guest go spend your money somewhere else!

Ps - 40 years on this planet first time writing a review on any company...
