La Granja Miami Gardens — Restaurant in Miami Gardens

We got the mixed fries seafood, a half chicken combo, and a beef and noodles dish. The girl at the drive through was very helpful and even though she did t speak much English she was trying very hard. I saw her trying to think of words and she did .. Starting with the fried seafood for $20 it was a Togo container filled with a mix of I think calamari, shrimp, fish and even a mussel was in there. It was very hot but not crispy or fried. the shrimp were mostly inedible. The fish were mushy and hot. Nothing was seasoned. No sides with this dish. Not worth even $5 in my opinion. The fried food at Walmart is better and I won't even eat that anymore.

Next was the beef noodles for $15. It was a very runny dish half way between an Asian noodles from Panda Express and a soup. Full of onions. Way too many onions. The beef pieces were plenty but when you bite into them they are not seasoned. The sauce is salty and kind of a soy teriyaki base which is weird for a Caribbean dish. At least we could eat the noodles.

The chicken combo was pretty good. Not quite as good as Tropical Pollo and not as good as we make at home though. Better than Popeyes or KFC. However for $15 it should have been better.

1 star because the food was good, but do you know whats more important than food to some people? Things such as customer service, respect, dignity, qualities that were almost taken away from me Saturday night. I went to the drive thru and waited (and I AM NOT EXAGGERATING) 25, count it TWENTY FIVE - VEINTCINCO MINUTOS For my food. After about 15 minutes I was ready to go, but unfortunately I could not get out the drive thru. I felt trapped, I felt like a victim of domestic violence because I was being mistreated and was unable to escape. Too weak and hungry to scream in anger once i reached the front of the line I politely asked to speak to a manager and to my surprise there was NO MANAGER ON DUTY. My heart dropped, i felt like I was just robbed and noone cared, there was noone to listen to me. The cashier never apologized after I complained, instead he told me "hey look, you can take it or leave it". My dignity was then stolen because there isnt a human being ill allow to speak to me like that. But to weak to be mad I then handed the cashier his money because the aroma from the food. I'm only leaving a 1 star simply because I had to an order to write a review on . Howvere; they do not deserve it. On 3/11/2018 I purchased 2 different meals a #2 and a #6 both meals came with white rice and black beans. My sister in-laws started eating her food and felt something weird in her mouth. Thank God she did not swallow. She pulled whatever it was out of her mouth only to discover that it was a green bug that was in the black beans. I was so disgusted by it and I could only imagine how disgusted she felt as well. i returned back to the restaurant and asked for a supervisor, of course every employee refused to point out who the supervisor was once they were aware of the issue.
