LC’s Roti Shop — Restaurant in Miami Gardens

Go the "extra mile" to Joy's next time you're craving Trini food in Miami. This place only gets away with this bc they're the only eatery in Miami area with this fare on the menu. The food was disappointing to say the least. I had the duck with paratha & pumpkin. It was served with some kind of potato-mush that was in a tray on the side of the hot plate they use to make the roti skins...but when I tasted it-was cold. Usually these things are kept warm with a pool of hot water under them... The curry duck on my plate was served in a pool of oil and the pumpkin had a green taste that was very unappetizing, I tried to avoid scooping any of that up with each bite. The doubles I ordered (to go) were doughy like pholourie(using the same pholourie batter to make the bara??) & tasted like they were made in old oil. 2 stars bc I appreciate the effort & understand it is not easy to run a roti shop successfully. If it was easy there would be more options, right? In all honesty will not go back & do...

Giving two stars because I've been here twice. The first time was at peak hours in the afternoon, ordered doubles and it was hot, fresh and tasty. Today I wanted trini breakfast, so Google to see who was going to be opened first and they were. Now I thought opening at a certain time, meant that u would be open to serve at that time, not actually cooking st that time. I get there at 9am and they're not open, then 5mins after I see someone come to open the door. I'm thinking maybe the cook was already inside and this is the cashier that's just coming to open the store. I walk in and ask if they have doubles and aloo pies, she said yes. She goes to the back and I hear a microwave, it goes off twice. I ordered two doubles and one aloo pie, so obviously that's what was heated up. Let's just say I won't be back and I won't be recommending anyone based off of...

Before I went to the restaurant I made sure I went to the atm because they don’t take cards. I took 4 fresh 5s ($20)from the bank. I got there n the roti is $14 dollars and I gave her what looked like 3 5s but has I’m giving her the money it looked two 5s stuck together. I was trying to take the money back but she didn’t want to give it to me. She said it’s $15 n I gave back a dollar. I asked to check the money she didn’t want to. I went to my car n I search everywhere for that other $5 n it’s nowhere to be found. I called them from my car before pulling off n asked the lady to check the 5s n she told me I probably dropped the other 5 somewhere. 100% sure she had the other 5 because I rolled up the 5s n put it in my zip coin purse after the bank n I went straight to the restaurant. I’m so angry about it...
