Be careful using debit or credit cards here. Went in yesterday for a salad the young girl with braces helped me. After making the salad she seemed in a rush to check me out asking cash or credit. I took my card out and stuck it in the card reader at which time it lite up green and said transaction complete, she then looked up from her screen and said it didn't go through, when telling her the screen on my side said transaction complete she walked off and got the heavy set girl that wears glasses. She then comes and says it didn't go through. So instead of using the same card I used my phone to tap pay so I would know immediately if the money was taken. When I got to the car I pulled up my banking info to find that my card had been charged as well as my tap to pay account I then double checked my phone I had indeed been charged on that account as well. I went back in the store no more than 5 minutes later to be told neither of my transactions were showing up in there system. I really didn't have time for the back and forth so I just left.. I'm not sure if they were both in on it but it sure seems that way. Just be careful paying with your card at this location they have a nice little bait and switch...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot really sure what all the hype is about. Ordered a 6" steak and cheese on wheat. It seemed like a pretty basic cheese steak (greasy but filling). It was good but far from the best I've ever had. Paid for a combo (1 dollar for drink or macaroni salad/potato salad/cookie/chips). Chip selection was very plain (only major brands, no kettle chips) so I went with the potato salad. Again, nothing to write home about but edible (only had a few bites though).
Also they use steakums instead of real steak! What is steakums you ask? "[C]hopped and formed emulsified meat product that is comprised of beef trimmings left over after an animal is slaughtered and all of the primary cuts, such as tenderloin, filet, and rib eye, are removed ... The emulsified meat is pressed into a loaf and sliced, frozen and packaged." Really wish I would've known that prior to eating there.
All in all, for 8 bucks it filled me up but next time I'd just go to Publix down the street and get a 12" sub for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been going here since I was a kid and the best subs Iāve had in Miami . But recently they have increased their prices a substantial amount and I donāt see justification, having ham sandwiches at 15/16 for a foot long and a steak sandwich for 21 for a foot long is a huge jump from previous prices. I understand inflations affect on the food economy but this jump doesnāt even correlate with surrounding sub sellers, none of them have increased at all and if they did not by this amount. And to have the base sub prices like this without even including it as a combo is the most concerning thing to me as it seems like ownership is trying to squeeze every last dollar out of their customers without proper addition to their menu . Sadly enough sub city is becoming Like every other Miami restaurant, overpriced without proper...
