I have been trying to find a really good Bahamian restaurant since moving from the Bahamas. Most were disgusting or just ok. Mama Nell’s was a happenstance finding and I was very happy with my meals. When you walk in you are greeted immediately and the young lady at the front is very pleasant. I placed my order which took a little longer then usual as we waited for the macaroni and cheese to finish bake. I had the cracked conch, which was tender and well seasoned, peas n rice, macaroni and cheese and plantains. My companion had the baked chicken with the same sides and potato salad. Chicken was well seasoned and tender. I will definitely be a returning customer, Mama Nell’s is worth the drive! Oh, I can’t forget the drinks. Goombay punch and authentic Bahamian Sky Juice, delicious!!!

The young lady in the front was very welcoming and kept me entertained while waiting on my food. The food was cooked to order but the wait was not long like most places. The fish was seasoned to perfection and the macaroni was one of the most authentic that I have ever tasted. Overall, the food was amazing and the vita malt was just icing on the cake. I will definitely be coming back before the week is over. Awesome place to eat and visit

I am so impressed by the flavor and quality of the food at this establishment. I know authentic Bahamian food and this is it. I ordered the conch fritters, fries, Mac and cheese, conch salad and guava cheesecake. I will not even think about going anywhere else. I’m going to say this: 1. The atmosphere, was amazing, it felt like I was apart of their family, just by their interaction with me; everyone was friendly, and I got a hug from Mama Nell herself! 2. Thee BEST Bahamian food hands down! When I tell you, please believe it!! I had the steamed conch with peas and rice, macaroni, and potatoe salad.. I also had a side of conch salad! Please note if you’re looking for the American -Bahamians, this isn’t the spot to be. These are REAL Bahamians who can COOK! AUTHENTIC(I was honoring my mom’s death anniversary, who was also Bahamian as well). It took me about an hour because of my distance, but babyyeee it was most definitely worth it cause she SLAYS and do NOT PLAY!!

Didn't even know this place was there... visited this spot the same day after seeing a credible review ( The Hungry Black Man Blog) a week ago. However, by the time l got there (about 3pm), I was hugely disappointed. Most of the food items wanted were sold out or unavailable that day. The conch was fresh & had a great taste to it, but the serving wasn't enough for a kid's meal. The conch fritters had ZERO flavor... maaaan, look here! No onions, bell peppers, or seasoning in the batter????? Over $60 spent!! Plus, there was like an hour wait time on my order. Mama Nell's in Miami Gardens, y'all...
