A few bad experiences. Not everyone speaks Spanish. A woman at the outside counter needs to understand not everyone is familiar with all Spanish dishes. It's about the customer and nothing personal. They're providing a SERVICE Part of the job is to explain the dishes to customers. Upsell and sell. Manners also work in all aspects of a person's life. you learn that at home. (I hope). If she doesn't want to deal with customer's she shouldn't work there. It's bad for the business. I took the time out to explain to a customer the dishes all while this women was being combative with the customer. I pulled her aside and had to remind her the customer is spending their money which in turn pays her salary. I was told by the manager she gets salary plus tips. If she's frustrated because she doesn't speak English, it's on the management/ owners to put her in that situation. No one wins. That's not the way to treat customers. I speak both languages but that's neither here nor there. It was the customer service. Easy solution, she should have excused herself with the customer and get someone that speaks English to help this customer. The customer simply told her they didn't understand the dish. I would've fired her on the spot. One for embarrassing the customer by raising her voice while the customer listened and was very calm and polite. At that point the customer had every right to get upset but instead looked at another customer which also said to her in Spanish her behavior made "Cubans" look bad. I think it makes everybody look bad. I HOPE management does better training of their staff. That was uncalled for. That's the 2nd time she does that. One to a Spanish speaking customer and this other one who was English speaking. No one spends their money there to be yelled at or humiliated. Learn how to talk to people or find a job where you don't deal with people. FIX IT asap. Aside those couple of times, the waiter Angel and a few other waitresses are...
Read moreWhy one star review? Keep reading....Good Latin food and service. Very clean too! I ate here today with two other guests, THREE IN TOTAL! We had a serving of mariquitas a churrasco steak, camarones enchilados and Salmon. One cafe con leche a cortadito and a coke. EGHTY NINE FREAKING DOLLARS!!! WHen looking at the receipt I noticed they charged for one of the two sides of each plate. The server never warned us of the additional charges and that a smaller churrasco was available at a lower price, she just took our order and asked us which of the two sides we preferred. We thought we were getting the special that was posted on a black board but she pointed out that it didn't say "special " it says today's servings. Very deceptive!! I've been coming here for years and have recommended this place countless times but to pay $24.95 for a churrasco and extra for the sides is excessive. NO VALUE HERE at these prices. Sorry, but you won't be seeing me anymore. UPDATE: 10-22-22 It is obvious that your response is automated and indicative of an establishment that doesn't care about customer experience. Attached is a receipt of a SIX person dining experience at one of the most ironic restaurants in Miami the Versailles. $113 for a party of six for great food and service. I'm not in anyway trying to trash your restaurant, you have a good thing going but as a business owner myself I know how you can easily loose your customers by not being focused...
Read moreA friend and I went for lunch about 2 weeks ago it is now August 7th 2024. I ordered the breaded fish fillet. It was a very large piece very fresh with absolutely no flavor or seasonings on it at all. My friend ordered the half a chicken it was very fresh and it had absolutely no seasonings or flavor at all. There is a cook in there evidently who does not know how to season the food to make it tasty. This has happened to me in the past in the early evening time. The waitress by the name of Gardenia was absolutely wonderful. The black beans were so so they were not the best they were kind of watered down and not season very well either. I mention it to the manager that the music in there is very loud and it is not for dining it is for having a party and getting drunk. He could have cared less what I had to say I also told him that our food was not seasoned. Whoever the cook is in the kitchen needs to be taught how to season the food. I love Hispanic restaurants because they are known for their very flavorful food. I don't know why they want to play very loud party music to dine to I can't figure that one out either. People need to have relaxing music to eat by it's much better for the digestion. This is a 100% completely honest review. I must add that 95% of the time the food there is very very good. I think the problem is one cook in the kitchen who needs...
