Ate there for only the second time, since this successful, family owned restaurant, was sold. First, I'd like to say, that when a business is successful, as long as this one has , it's for a reason. For me, it was because it was simple. Not a ton of decisions to make, just call, order what I want, and that's what I get. What I got today, was not an Angelo's pizza. It was something else, in a place that carries the Angelo's name. Was the pizza terrible, no, but it wasn't an Angelo's pizza. The sauce, what there was if it, was different. The crust, hand tossed, was just weird. I've made hand tossed pizza crust before, and this was not a good crust. I'd actually like to be up there to watch them hand toss the crust. We also ordered a hoagie, and I'm not sure what to say. Whatever the sauce is, that they are using, is flavorless, or there is not enough of it to taste. Anyway, in the end, there is now a restaurant, that says, " Angelo's pizza" above it, on 131, in Milford. I won't be eating there anymore, because the food they are serving, is not Angelo's. If the people, that bought the place, with the intent, of changing things, to the point, that they no longer resemble the name , that they are selling under, they should have changed the name, or just opened a whole...
Read moreOmg! So I grew up in California and we didn't have Angilo's Pizza. Let me just say first of all there. Breadsticks are out of this world. I took my first bite and I thought I went to heaven. Oh my goodness! I didn't even need to eat the pizza. I just wanted breadsticks all day long. I couldn't believe it now that's not to take anything away from the pizza. The pizza was great. The sauce was a little sweet for me. I don't like a sweet sauce but if you like a sweet sauce and the pizza is great. It's delicious. The cheese was different. It was like a mixture of provolone and mozzarella which is very delicious . And it was so nice and warm the pizza was hot when you took your slice of pizza from the tray it was all nice and stringy and gooey just so great. Yum! Makes me hungry now. I definitely recommend it. Go there and eat some breadsticks oh my goodness and bring some to me. Please...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to trying Angilo’s, especially with new and owners. However, the food was not good. Wings were terrible, sauce was watery, they were not crispy at all and wings were stuck together in clusters. Mozzarella sticks were over cooked and hard. The pizza sauce with them was good. We also ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and green pepper on half. There was green pepper on the whole pizza and pepperoni on half. I don’t even know what happened when they tried to cut the pizza. It seems like the started to cut it into triangles and then decided to do squares. Maybe they had a nice smoke break prior to our order? The pizza was doughy and hard to eat. The only saving grace was we decided to throw the pizza back in the oven which helped make it edible. Hopefully they can make some easy changes to make the food better, however we will...
