On March 16th of 2019, after a long trip up and back to Chicago my husband and I decided to order Milano's as carry out. Online I placed his order for the cheese steak, 1/2 and in the Instructions area for the Cheese Steak wrote: Instructions: "ONLY INCLUDE tomato, mushrooms, cheese and meat" Upon arrival to the restaurant my husband spoke to the assistant manager and asked him if his sandwich had been made correctly only including the items listed as we have had problems with this order in the past. The assistant manager assured us that it was correct and my husband left with food in hand. He arrived home, opened the bag and found his order was not correct. His cheese steak was covered in lettuce and mayo along with everything else. He called the restaurant and asked for the assistant manager he had just spoken to. Apparently, what was printed from my very detailed instructions was "ONLY INCLUDE tomato, musher" everything else that I had included was left out of the directions and was thus included on my husband's order. When questioning why the restaurant did not know about his requests my husband was told that "there is a limited number of spaces to write directions." One would think that a notification regarding the limitations as to character limit would be a good thing to include on the website for the general public's knowledge. The assistant manager (Shaun) told my husband that as far as he knew, based off what he had seen on the ticket at the restaurant my husbands sandwich was correct and that is why he had told him it was. At the conclusion of the telephone conversation we were told that our card would be credited for the meal (which my husband dumped in the trash as he can not tolerate mayonnaise) and that the assistant manager would call him on Monday to confirm the refund. No call was made to us on Monday when they opened. So late in the day on Monday my husband called the manager. He explained the situation and "I" was asked to call the manager since the card was in my name. I called the manager, went through the situation again and was told that she would speak to Shaun (assistant manager), as she needed to hear his side of the story, and then would call me back to issue. This is now more than 72 hrs later. We will never see the refund for the meal that was ordered and never enjoyed. Had the assistant manager pushed beyond just the basics of mediocrity (since the changes requested were obviously cut off half way) and asked my husband "what were the changes to the sandwich that you requested?" my husbands answer would have shown the discrepancy between what we requested and their limited system put out and this entire situation could have been avoided. Sadly, the minimum was done with no apology to us and making us feel that we are the ones at fault for not knowing there is a character limit. We have now had an experience that will sour us from ever returning, or recommending Milano's. Let me add to this that in the 6 years we have lived here we have taken our family of 5 to Milano's at least 8 times a year, if not more, because it's the one place that everyone can agree on. However, with my husband's order being done incorrectly more times than I can count in the past, issues with other past orders, visits with slow service, wrong food, etc. this became the straw the broke our back. For a $6.00 sub they lost probably close to $400 in business. I know that's a drop in the bucket to a place like Milano's, but what a hill to...
Read moreSlow service. Unless you're a regular don't sit at the bar. The manager has been talking to only three people for about twenty minutes and there isn't one open seat at the bar. The other bar tender is running around like crazy- she is responsible for the whole bar area and the bar itself and the manager on duty was talking to three people for over 20 minutes. I feel bad for her. It's not fair to have one manager chatting with customers (behind the bar) for over 20 minutes when I sat at the bar for 15 minutes unable to order food or beer. I love their CSP and they have a large beer selection. But I will not come to this location again unless I was considered a "regular" (which I'm not) because they are the only ones getting served and it seems they take care of their regulars much better than those who stop in when they are visiting from out of town. I live in Cincinnati (grew up very close to the area) and loved stopping in when I am in the area but I felt ignored when I came in and I had to wait 20 minutes to put a food order in. I wanted a To-go order but didn't want to risk them not doing it right so I ordered it for here. Btw I asked for extra mayo and didn't get it. I knew asking for it would be another long wait so I just accepted it. I didn't want to bother the female bartender (she was way busy) and I couldn't get the others attention. He was busy chatting with his friends.
I do love the food but I'm not happy about the one manager talking to the same two-three people while the other bar tender is running her backside off. He is still standing there- now what is he doing???!! Complaining to the bartender who was doing her job when he wasn't???
The manager is now complaining to the busy bartender saying he has "issues" with her - and yes he used the words "issues" and "with you." He just spent 20 minutes talking to three people and ignoring me. The issue is your manager not your bartender. Get him the proper training he needs or get rid of him. Also he left for the night after complaining to her about "her issues" and let her fend for herself until close. It was still fairly busy and it was just really disheartening to hear him speak to her in such a negative way when she was working so hard and he wasn't doing anything. I will just go to another location in the future. I always tip even if it's bad service and I felt I had to leave at least three dollars because she was trying but her manager was failing her. Food is really good here but don't expect good service or to be taken care of by management. Or at least the management staff when I visited later in the evening on Saturday, October 21st. I never take pictures of peoples face without their permission but I did get a picture of the back of his head leaning over the bar talking to all of his friends so if the owner is interested to know which manager it was please do not hesitate to contact me and I will send you the photo. I think everyone deserves a second chance but this manager was awful and should not be employed as a manager unless he...
Read moreThis is about the Miamisburg Ohio restaurant. I work for global Corporation located in close proximity.and have ordered delivery since Milanos has been at that location. Today, 5/4/17 around lunch time I placed 29.00 order that I paid for at the time I placed the order!! I provided my cell number as I have done in the past. The Driver called and informed they had arrived. Keep in mind, Milanos does not provide the exact time the delivery will be arriving.. They only provide an approximate window.of time. When the delivery guy called my cell i told him I would be 'right' down... It took me 10 minutes to get there as I also work in a service environment. When I arrived at our security desk , the delivery guy had decided to leave with my PREPAID order!!!! .. Let me just say.. It gets better... I immediately called and asked to speak with a manager, a few moments later a woman named Patty W informs me she is the manager and that she '' Agreed'' with her delivery guy for not waiting. She said '' we are busy'' . BESIDES HER RUDENESS to me personally. Her actions left a perception that Milanos does not care if they lose a customer. PLEASE NOTE OF COURSE I IMMEDIATELY SHARED MY EXPERIENCE WITH OTHER COLLEAGUES . The order I placed was for more about 5. . I HAVE given Milanos a lot of.business over the years and I Always tip the driver!!!. Furthermore, when I asked for my credit card to be adjusted immediately.. SHE wanted to know if I was coming over for the receipt. .. Really!?! I provided her with my email address for my receipt of the returned credit. After that she hung up on ME!! I didn't mention her last name out of respect. Frankly SHE didn't give me respect.. so rude and for a person calling herself a manager it doesn't speak highly of the Management staff of Milanos promoting that type of rude person. You, Milanos, have lost a customer. What is perplexing, my order was PREPAID! He could have left the order at the security desk. I will be contacting the...
