In a state where there are at least five bakeries per square kilometer, you’d think competition would push businesses to stand out—not just through their products, but through excellent customer service. Unfortunately, that’s not the case with La Gran Paris.
I was ready to make a last-minute purchase worth nearly $300—not a small amount—and I simply needed a small color change on a cake. I wasn’t asking for a redesign or anything complicated. But what I got in return was arrogant, inflexible service and a complete lack of willingness to help or even try to find a solution.
The staff’s attitude came across as condescending, as if they were doing me a favor by serving me. It’s honestly shocking how one person’s arrogance can cost a business such a significant sale, all because they didn’t want to make a minor adjustment.
I took my money elsewhere—to a bakery where I was welcomed with kindness and flexibility. That’s how I know there are still businesses that understand respect and courtesy are just as important as the product they sell.
Maybe the cake tastes great—but with service like that, the experience leaves a bad taste before you ever...
Read moreBeen going there since a kid and they say they are a luxury pastry store but they are not. I'm a mystery shopper. The staff is wonderful and always friendly. The owner never talks to his customers. He's always avoiding complaints and hides in the back of the store most of the time. The owner has a Mohawk and rides a 🏍. I ride a Boulevard but he has a reputation of being wild and not refined. They food is good there but they just sell regular pastries 🍰 like at Karla's bakery or Pinecrest Bakery. They are nothing like Pastry of Arts. Not like luxury Disney cakes or sweets sort of store. I recommend Mario's Bakery in Hollywood or Le Cream Bakery near the Mimo District if you want that sort of treat myself because l deserve it kind...
Read moreUnfortunately this bakery is one of my favorite places to have breakfast and pick up pastries. I say unfortunately because every time I go I receive the worst customer service. I was waiting for a few minutes when someone who just walked in started to order and she never looked up to acknowledge that there were more customers, when I told her I was next she didn’t even bother to say anything, other then what are you wanting today. It so sad that such a beautiful location with such amazing products doesn’t have the client service to match the atmosphere. This is my third time receiving service like this at this location. And again I won’t lie and ever say anything negative about the products because they truly...
