3 stars for an ok Mofongo when I expected great since they got some recognition back in 2015 for the Mofongo. I started with the codfish croquettes and that was the highlight of my meal which is not what I expected. I came here to try the famous award winning Mofongo and left a bit dissapointed. I ordered with pepper chicken which is basically chicken fajitas made with onions and peppers. The plantain mash was very dry and if it wasn't for the sauce that came with the fajitas it would've been even harder to eat. I got one piece of chewy pork rind(chicharron) in the mix and the outside of the mash was hard almost like chewing rubber. The chicken on the fajitas had really good flavor but was also very rubbery as if it was reheated. Honestly I ate this because I was really hungry but it was not a good meal except for the croquettes. guess they used to cook better and make an amazing Mofongo back on the day but I never had it before so l'm just judging what I had today.

This restaurant falls short in several areas. The food, though palatable, lacks the exceptional quality that would make it stand out. A significant concern is the cleanliness of the establishment. Not only does the restroom leave much to be desired, but the overall cleanliness of the diner itself is also questionable. This lack of attention to hygiene can detract from the dining experience. The issue of inconsistent pricing further compounds these problems. Customers may find themselves confused and frustrated when the bill does not match the prices listed on the menu or the online platform. In summary, this restaurant has room for improvement. Addressing these issues of cleanliness and pricing could greatly enhance the overall customer experience.

Again, we tried this restaurant at the recommendation of a Friend. We should have turned around and headed back out the minute we saw the place Inside. First, the place is extremely dark and dirty. This place hasn’t been cleaned in years. I ordered the Red Snapper Filet, according to the menu. What I received was a WHOLE fish in some funky tasting supposedly coconut sauce. Definitely, not like I’ve had while visiting the Dominican Republic. I didn’t mind the whole fish at all. It was the taste that got me. 😩 My friends ordered the Mofongo with Churrasco. They both said it was good. I tried their Mofongo, and I have to admit, it was good. With that said, all three of us agreed we will not be back.

I was recently in Miami and I was craving some mofongo. We had went to two different restaurants, first one we saw the prices and was like nah.. second one, not good service and we got attitude and wasn’t welcoming - I won’t mention the names. But, we googled where to get some good mofongo and Milly’s came up and I read some reviews and it was enough for us to come through. We get there, seems like it was closed like people said, the plaza was a little small and traffic at night was annoying. But, we come in, had the door held open for us, I wish I remembered the waiter’s name because his service was great. He was making jokes, making us laugh, the food came out fast, it was like he was family. The taste of the food was delicious. I smashed my food and then some!! Lord have mercy, my craving was satisfied and the food was all worth it. The third time’s the charm, huh? I will definitely be coming back every time I’m in the MIA....

I woke up craving a Domican breakfast, after reading a few reviews I decided to give this place a try. I drove all the way from Homestead to find this place closed. I was confused and didn't understand why. Online it said it was open and the sign outside the door also said they opened at 8 AM on sundays, mind you its 11 AM by now. I decided to call and obtain more information. A very rude lady answers the phone and says the will open at 12 and when I questioned why, she said her cook had an emergency and had just gotten there at 10 AM. I went back to car and waited for about 20 more minutes before calling again, I explained I drove a very long way and that my kids were hungry as they were crying in the back seat. She then repeated they were going to open at 12 and that I had to wait. I left this place very disappointed to how unprofessional they were. I gave it one start only because ZERO STAR was...
