I heard about this place while we were doing our hop on, hop off bus tour on Miami right after the hurricane Andrew has ended, the tour guide on the bus mentioned this place during the trip and sayed: "we have only two restaurants like this in Florida with a very tasty chicken Latin style. You should try it ones". And couple days ago I have been driving that neighborhood and decided to stop by this place and give a try. I have ordered 3 piece (thing, breast & wing) Peruvian citrus grilled chicken and yuka fries for the side; 5 camperitos with a yellow hot sauce and a local Latin drink called Jamaica. I am not big fan of chicken so my first dish "3 piece of chicken citrus grilled was so-so and the wing is so small it looks like a joke but a part of the dish. Camperitos was tasty especially this yellow hot sauce was cool, I also liked yuka fries. And the Jamaica drink is kind of weird, but I would like to try what it is. The place is that ok, but not something special that the tour guide mentioned during the tour.

Outstanding Service and Leadership! I recently visited Pollo Campero and was truly impressed with the entire experience. The food was as delicious as always, but what really stood out this time was the remarkable service, a major upgrade from past visits. A special shoutout goes to Maria, the manager, who is incredibly attentive, intelligent, and clearly passionate about her role. You can immediately see the impact of her leadership. The staff is now more courteous, organized, and professional, creating a welcoming environment that truly enhances the dining experience. It’s clear that Maria has done an outstanding job training the team, and it shows in every detail, from how quickly they serve to how friendly and respectful everyone is. This level of service is a huge improvement compared to previous years. If you haven’t been to Pollo Campero in a while, give it another try, Maria and her team are changing the game!

This is the second-best fried chicken place in the US. It's truly delicious, the best fried chicken we've ever had. It's not completely crispy, but retains some of the traditional thin skin. The chicken is incredibly juicy, and the sweet smell and saltiness of the chicken are perfectly expressed. You can choose any part of the chicken, which is perfect for us, as you usually pay extra for other parts, and Americans don't usually eat chicken breast. This American-ranked fried chicken is arguably the best in the world. While Taiwanese fried chicken is delicious, the meat isn't fully marinated and often has a fishy smell. Perhaps it's the different breed of chicken, or perhaps the cooking isn't done right. Regardless, we're filled with happiness. This is a great fried chicken place.分/250926

New review! Lets begin.

Store quality: Its a pretty good location, close to a college, several schools, clinics, and a gas station. The store itself has pretty good parking, with enough spaces for everyone, and since it's not always crowded, it's even better. There's a big outdoor section to eat in, little tables and benches and such, which is neat. The problem is the inside is very cramped. Like there's capacity maybe for 15-20 people, compared to the 25-30 outside. It's pretty hard finding a spot inside when they're all occupied. The bathrooms are pretty much too close to the dining room itself, a chair can be found within maybe 4-5 feet next to the door. That in itself is an issue, but when the bathroom smells, forget eating inside if that's the only open space.

I give the store in general a 3/5.

Employees: Mostly Spanish speakers, not a problem in itself, but it's usually best to have bilingual people at charge to avoid any problems or misunderstanding. Most of them are pretty patient, but they just sound very bored and unwilling to do much else. It kinda brings down the place. I understand that pay might suck there but the most that should be done is at least give a little smile and talk with a little less 'ugh' if you know what I mean. Haven't had a problem personally with them so they get a good job for that.

Store employees know what they're doing, but aren't very 'friendly', so I give them a 4/5.

Food quality: I'm not a fan of chicken from the get-go, but I eat here in those cases I don't really feel like eating anything else. And honestly, it's not bad. It's pretty okay really. Chicken is generally well cooked, a tad on the slightly greasy side about 2/4ths the time I've eaten here, the fries are meh, just quite dry and not really flavorful. The yucca sides are decent, but same problem as the fries, except these have slightly more flavor. Rice and beans are good, because it's pretty hard to mess them up really. I will update things as I go trying them here, but so far...

Food quality is 3.5/5, it has some good things to start with, but other things could be GREATLY improved.

Overall, this store gets a 3.5/5 (wish I could mark it so), it has very good things, things that are decent, but there's also negative things that can affect your experience in a significant way.

I would recommend this to be a great place for family dining, but there's better places to go that offer more and with higher...

You can’t even call the store anymore like I did a few weeks ago. To save me the inconvenience of driving such a long distance for the hype of overpriced fast food. They changed the phone number to a non-connecting number. I can’t even find out if they have the Queso Bacon sandwich anymore and I don’t live close. Seems that was the best thing on the menu and I don’t want anything else. That was my first time visiting at the end of July and it was sold out then. Now it appears that it was discontinued and not even on the menu anymore how discouraging. I Definitely won’t be going out of my way again for no connecting customer service. Not to mention the chicken nugget that was on the floor behind the counter that no employee would pick up to throw in the garbage. Hopefully those don’t end up with all the rest for sale. I bought two six pieces of nuggets and it definitely crossed my mind. Then the employee or customer that knocked a stack of the cup lids all over the dirty floor in front of the counter. They picked them up and put them for all customers to drink from. Seems like some health violations going on in this establishment. I didn’t even check out the restroom to see if that was sanitary and in working order. If this is a family restaurant then you need to do better. I saw an advertisement on soflo health and needles to say it doesn’t operate like a...
