After a late night flight into Miami, my brother and I needed to find a place to eat. All of our old Miami late night favorites were closed (which we were somewhat surprised about). We accidentally stumbled on Rey's Pizza. They were open so we thought we would give them a try. It is an unpretentious place, but the service was great, the food was very good, and they were open 24 hours. We ordered the Mixta pizza. In general I prefer thinner crust, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of their crust. This pizza was loaded with cheese and had pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, onions, olives (I am sure I am forgetting some of the toppings). It was excellent.

I have been coming to this particular Rey Pizza for more than 25 years, and I have always loved it. My favorite is the Napolitano Pizza. Very cheesy. I can honestly say the flavor has never changed, they remain consistent. The only bad thing I can say is that they have remodeled and made it bigger, which took away the original feel of the restaurant. It looks modern and new, which may be ok for most. I just like the historic spots that still look somewhat historic. It's open 24 hours which is great also. Try their batido de trigo also which is my go to shake.

The place was very nice and do was the staff. It was a little hard to order because of a language barrier. The pizza was okay in my opinion. Definitely not as good as the reviews say. I would go back. I spent almost $9 for a personal pizza when I could've gone to Pizza Hut and gotten the same size pizza for $5.

Worst pizza I’ve ever had! We stopped late in the evening, passing through & starving, so we didn’t check reviews. Looked good enough from outside. The super bright interior gives you cafeteria vibes. Considered leaving right away, but we were starving. We ordered a couple of individual pizzas, a water and a coke... the crust was comparable to cardboard & the drinks tasted like chlorine. We literally took 2 bites of each of our pizzas & pushed them aside. It was so bad that even hunger wasn’t enough motivation to eat them. Frozen pizza from grocery store is better than what was served to us that evening.

Server was nice & friendly, but when she came to ask us if everything was ok & we expressed the food was terrible, all she said was I’m sorry, yet didn’t comp our food despite being obvious we took 2 bites & a couple sips of the nasty coke & water. Our bill was over $30 before tip for practically uneaten food, and we still paid & gave the sever a fair tip - not her fault the food was terrible & she was obviously mortified not knowing how to make up for it.

I very rarely will write a bad review, but this business obviously doesn’t care about customer satisfaction. Rey’s pizza - your food sucks. People that stop at your business...

I walked in and was given no greeting whatsoever. There was a hostess and two servers and they literally talked amongst themselves , never once acknowledging me. I stood there for a good 3 minutes. Finally i make eye contact with the hostess and she just stares, no hello at all. I felt really unwelcome. And i hate to say it but i feel like it was because I wasn’t of a Hispanic/Latin descent. Every single person in the restaurant appeared to be of that descent . Finally i just said, “Can I order to-go”. The hostess said “huh”? So i tried to use hand gesture to signal that I wanted to take the food with me and I asked again. She didn’t understand . So then it became even more clear to me that the workers in this establishment didn’t speak English . I just walked out. I have certain food allergies so i have specific instructions so there’s no way they would have understood what i was saying.

I’m sure the food is great as the reviews state, but I cannot understand why at least one employee is an English speaker. These people simply were not...

I used to be a regular at this pizza place and always enjoyed their food, especially the pepperoni pizza with garlic bread. The milkshakes were also fantastic. One of the unique touches was that they used to put the pepperoni under the cheese, which made the pizza taste better than any brand out there! Unfortunately, my recent visits have been a bit disappointing. The crust is now thick and hard, and the garlic bread is barely covered and has an odd taste. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not as good as it used to be. On a positive note, the staff remain very sweet and social, which makes for a pleasant experience. The interior still has that charming cafeteria feel that I love. Overall, I hope they can bring back the quality...
