Tonight my husband and I had what we can only describe as probably the best service intervention ever in a restaurant ANYWHERE. We went to Swingbelly's on a Monday night around 6 pm in late August to find a place packed with hordes of seemingly wealthy summer beach dwellers. Maybe they just finished 18 holes of golf, maybe it was their last summer weekend here in our beach haven, or maybe it was the Monday night burger special. Long story short, a member of the silver-haired, country club species nearly trampled us as we headed for the last two seats at the bar. As I recoiled back in my position in the lobby, the general manager came over and said, " I just saw what happened and am so sorry. I will get you seated ASAP and buy your first beverage." To my surprise, he sat us at a booth within minutes and immediately served us beverages too. Moreover, I am very happy to write that I ordered the special discounted burger (with blue cheese and fries for $6 -- whoo hoo!!) which was just as great as the one at full price (a great deal at $10 just as I wrote in my previous review.) If you are not starving around 6 pm on a Monday night, you might wait til 7 pm. If you do show up during the senior rush hour, you can expect a wait, but also count on great service and great food. Our experience reminded us why we love this place and why it rises above just about anywhere...

Ehhhh the staff was supa friendly and efficient. The deco n ambiance are great. Esp with all the neato MC history pix all over n kitschy antiques. We had made a to-go order. I got chicken salad sammich wheat bread. SO got a Mellen dog with Cajun fries n beer cheese. $31 for a hot dog n sammich? Ouuuch. The boxes were awfully light even tho I had requested onion, tomato n lettuce. My dude's Cajun fries consisted of scrawny thin sticks with a ton o Tony Chachere's dumped on top. Really?? Yes. Lol not the most imaginative or tasty ""Cajun"" fries I've had. I'm from Texas. I mean come on. Cajuns would throw this recipe to the gators. The chicken salad was the most bland version I have ever had! Not only that, but the consistency was like .... Paste! The onions n celery were the only discernable texture and they were so fine they're barely visible. The chicken itself was a pulverized clump. It looked like an immersion blender was used to make it. I know ppl like their chicken salad many dif ways. I do happen to like it chunky and with all kindsa surprises thrown in like grapes, apples, pecans. But there was no saving this gunk. That's the problem eating at a bar/grill. Patrons plastered enough they think bad food tastes good and isn't...

I recently had the pleasure of indulging in a meal that truly exceeded expectations—an array of classic comfort foods, including juicy burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, and golden fries.

The burger was nothing short of perfection. The patty, cooked to a perfect medium well, was tender and packed with flavor. The fresh, soft bun provided just the right balance, and the toppings—crispy lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and melted cheese, topped with crispy bacon slices.

The Ranch Chicken sandwich was another standout. The chicken breast was perfectly fried, boasting a crispy golden crust while remaining tender and juicy on the inside. Paired with a creamy ranch sauce, with bacon and lettuce

Overall, the meal was a comforting, satisfying experience—each dish was well-prepared, flavorful, and satisfying. It's the kind of food that hits the spot every time, leaving you craving more. Whether you're in the mood for a classic burger or a crispy chicken sandwich, this place delivers in all the right ways.

Don't forget the apps and drinks. They were very delicious as well. The in house ranch was on a...

I know the photo may not LOOK appetizing, but it was! I ordered my burger medium, and you can see how it came out...great! I ordered a BNC burger (bacon 'n cheddar), and I put lettuce, mustard, pickles and onions on it. I would definitely order it again. I also got a cocktail, the Special Manhattan. At first it was blah, but I gave it a stir, and the flavors melded, and it was pleasant enough. My wife got a burger as well. Just a regular cheeseburger, and she enjoyed it, but it was so big she couldn't finish it. One kid got a chicken finger basket. It was a hit, and the fries were tasty. The other kid got the kids cheeseburger. Also enjoyed it. It came with an apple juice box. And the only thing I considered knocking the restaurant for--the fruit cup was one you pack in kids' lunches and peel the top of, but we were expecting fresh fruit. The staff was pleasant. The old school vibe was good. It was our first time here, and I think we'll return!
