I can confidently say this is the best Peruvian food I’ve had in New Jersey! From the very first bite, every dish was bursting with flavor and authenticity. We ordered tallarines a la huancaína, tallarines con salsa verde, lomo saltado, bistec, causa de pollo, and ceviche and each one was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, perfectly balanced, and tasted homemade in the best way.
What really stood out to me is not only the incredible taste but also the generous portions. Every plate was huge, perfect for sharing or for taking leftovers home, which makes it such great value. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and the size of the servings.
The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was warm, attentive, and truly made us feel welcomed and cared for. They checked on us often, explained the dishes, and were always smiling you can tell they really care about their customers’ experience.
If you are looking for authentic, flavorful, and generous Peruvian food at a fair price, this restaurant is a must. I can’t recommend it enough, and I know I’ll be coming...
Read morePeruvian cuisine is renowned worldwide, and as Peruvians, we tend to be discerning when trying new Peruvian restaurants. We expect nothing less than an exceptional experience. Inka's Flame truly impressed me! We ordered Leche de Tigre, Choros a la Chalaca, and Anticuchos.
Both the Leche de Tigre and Choros a la Chalaca hit the mark perfectly, with just the right balance of spiciness and citrusy flavors. Even as I write this review, my mouth waters at the thought of them. The Anticuchos, a true delicacy, were marinated to perfection with the Peruvian gem, Aji Panca. The first bite transported me back to the streets of Lima, where you can find the best Anticuchos. I have to say, this came incredibly close!
What's more, the service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. I’ve heard that Lomo Saltado is one of their best dishes, so I'm definitely returning to try it. This is a BYOB so bring your preferred drink and enjoy a peruvian...
Read moreBased on the other reviews I'm not sure if I caught them at a bad time or something, but when we got there, the whole place smelled kinda like trash? The food was okay, but as a Peruvian who's been to like 20+ Peruvian restaurants in NJ, it really wasn't anything special. The portions are kinda small for the price, or maybe the prices are high for the plates, but we got a lomo saltado, a jalea, and a tallarin verde, and they were all a little dry/over-cooked. I was taking a friend to try Peruvian food for the first time and I was a little embarrassed that I couldn't give him a better experience, but I only came once so maybe it was just bad luck. If you have the time and energy, make the trip up to Paterson or Passaic instead, but from what I can tell, there's not a lot of Peruvian options in this area, so I'm sure I'll give this place another...
