Capital is an old standard in Madison brewing. 15 of there beers on tap plus a seltzer and a couple guest taps. My last stop they had Munich dunkel, IPA, Pils, lager, amber, maibock, doppelbock, sour, NE IPA, barleywine, shandy, pumpkin, kellerbier, and some ciders. All the are good. They are clean, many crisp, and tasty. Their beers generally aren't thick, creamy but if you like dark beers like I do this should still be a place to stop. Read moreSpent the weekend at the Staybridge behind the brewery and walked over Saturday and Sunday. The entire crew was amazing. The beer is top notch. Got my first experience in the Stube the atmosphere is second to none. The Garten was perfect as usual.
If you go you must try the Capsized and Common Thread; they are not just beers they are emotional experiences.

Read moreWe attended an event held here. After a couple hours of drinking and eating, I went to the bar to ask for water for our group to continue the festivities. The bartender was happy to help but was stopped by the manager, who proceeded to insist that only bottled water was available. I have never been turned down for tap water at a bar in Wisconsin. Shame on the manager for creating such an inhospitable atmosphere! I'm happy to buy the beer, but next time I'd like some tap water please.
