AHI Japanese restaurant — Restaurant in Middletown Township

I placed an order for delivery a week ago and was shocked to find out I was billed over $200 for what should have been a simple meal: two tuna rolls, a salmon poke bowl, spicy mayo, and pork gyoza. To make matters worse, my order was incomplete—no spicy mayo or pork gyoza was delivered!

Initially, I was told over the phone that my total would be $54, which was already steep, but fine. However, after a delivery fiasco where my order was dropped at the wrong address and a rude manager refused to help, I discovered I was charged $209.78 on my credit card! How can the amount jump so drastically without explanation?

When I called to clarify the charges, I was met with excuses and told they couldn't provide an itemized bill. This lack of transparency screams scam and fraud. It's absolutely outrageous! To top it off, the food I finally received was disgusting—slimy and unappetizing.

Your business practices are disgraceful. It's clear to me now why your reviews seem fake—there's no way such poor service and terrible food should earn high ratings. I will be disputing these charges with my credit card company immediately.

Went here with a group of 5 at 5:30pm for dinner. We were the first table seated and two more tables came later. The food didn’t come out until 6:30pm. Our waitress lost our order first and came back to ask again what everyone wanted. This was fine with us but the service was slow for not having many tables. Slow for water refills, placing our order, and we waited a long time before we could get the check. When the sushi finally came out, they forgot my order and served the rolls that did come out on the wrong plate (two separate orders mixed). I waited longer for my sushi and had to send it back. The sushi had a strong fishy taste and the top appeared to be slimy as shown in photo. By the time I got the food, we were there for over an hour, everyone was mostly done eating, and so I didn’t want to order another item. My initial impression of this new Asian restaurant is very positive. I love sushi and have been looking for a good place nearby. To get a read on the quality of fish I order a basic sashimi plate (nowhere to hide!) Their sashimi deluxe was a generous portion: 3 pieces each of 5 different fish. I appreciated the fresh shiso leaves to eat with it. Another test is whether the restaurant charges me for a small portion of sushi rice to eat alongside. They did not, and the rice was very good. I chose salad as my accompaniment and it consisted of baby lettuce and some tomato with a tasty ginger dressing (no iceberg lettuce).
