Sissy's Place — Restaurant in Middletown Township

A truly beloved local eatery for some seriously delicious food! We came on a Thursday, and despite having only one waitress and a cook, they handled all the orders with impressive efficiency and grace.

We ordered a stack of blueberry pancakes and another stack of chocolate chip pancakes. Both came with butter on the side and pure maple syrup. We also got a side of sausage links. Is your mouth watering yet? Because mine is just writing this! You can also order beverages like coffee (with free refills) and even fresh juice (available in regular or large sizes).

They serve more than just breakfast items; they also have sandwiches, wraps, and other wonderful lunch options.

The only caveat is that they only take cash. I didn't realize that beforehand, but thankfully, we happened to have cash on us.

I've been coming to this place since I moved to Belford (six years ago). The food has always been fantasic. Since then, my wife and I started having children.

Today my daughter graduated kindergarten. We made the mistake of getting breakfast here after her ceremony.

My mother had gotten there first and went to use the bathroom before we sat down. The waitress couldn't have been more rude and obnoxious; speaking down to my mother.

The same waitress felt it necessary to be outright rude and disrespectful to my children. When the waitress was blatantly aggressive and nasty to my 5 year old (who just graduated) when, excited to order, stood in her chair - I drew the line.

We won't be back. I won't be back. I always try and support local businesses, but I refuse to allow my mother and children to be treated like trash.

Side note: the food is amazing,...

I love Sissy's place. First of all, they serve a good flavored hot cup of coffee. I find this rare! They always have a fresh pot. I get the blueberry pancakes...fresh berries! or the Eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise sauce is made from scratch...the Canadian bacon and poached eggs are perfect. The servers are always very friendly and attentive. The space is bright and cheerful.
